  1. Ha! Thanks for the heads up, I was about to pop open a beer and start playing. Guess I will have other plans for this evening. -Scott
  2. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID)- 2 permits w/existing FID 2. Police Department where you applied - Berkeley Twp. 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD - Marcy 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit - 16 weeks!! Exactly 4 months to the day. 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form) - none 6. Notes - Very nice people over there but come on really??? 4 months for permits!?!?!
  3. Good for you guys and a gret job done by your P.D's! Here I am on 4mths now just waiting for 2 P2P...I have to get out of this town.... -Scott
  4. My Uncle retired from the Marine Corp after 30yrs. His last position was the Director of History and Museums divison. He put his heart and soul into that museum to make sure the facts were correct and everything was desplayed correctly. Im sure he would be pleased to hear all the nice comments that are being made by those who have visited the museum. It is a gorgeous building that is filled with great artifacts and exhibits. When in Va. make it a stop on your trip, you wont be disappointed. -Scott
  5. Jackson is sooooo far behind the times with EVERYTHING it isnt even funny. They only thing that town is good for is taking your tax dollars. They have a RAPIDLY growing drug/gang problem that the police department refuses to address. They keep their blinders on as if the problem will just go away. For a bunch of guys who within 6-8yrs on a job will be making 90-110k/yr really have to step up to the plate and start earning their keep! Parking tickets at a commuter parking lot isnt gunna save the town you idiots! Im so glad I moved out of that rediculous town. -Scott
  6. I agree that the police should've known the law before hand and that the first officers on scene did a terrible job communicating and understanding the situation. Your absolutely right, the civilian did offer his license and drivers license to verify it was him but the officer was too busy being a hot head. I also do a terrible job in trying to make my point in my first post. we dont know what would have happened but if it was me I would have followed the directions, did what the officer told me to do. He probably would have taken the firearm from me and his hostile attitude and behavior(i would hope) would have dropped down a level or two. At this point I would have given him my creditials and began to explain why I was OC and how I am not breaking any laws. Thats just me, I love to kill people with kindness. I feel it gets the point across much better then being argumentitive. I personally feel this sargent would have felt dumb for pointing his weapon at the civilian and would have walked away with more knowledge then he is now and the whole thing would have been 5 minutes. -Scott
  7. +1 Maks After seeing the thread about his run in in Lansdale and the way he escalates these interactions on purpose makes him out to be a dick. If he followed the orders and helped the LEO's understand the laws a bit better in a polite and orderly fashion I feel he would get his point across and stand up for his rights better then causing confrontations everytime. He thinks he won with the Philly police officer after sitting on the sidewalk & in a patty wagon for 30min but imagine the impact he would have had if he followed the orders from the disrespectful, out of line SARGENT that first incountered him then proceeded to advise the SARGENT of the laws and how he wasnt breaking them. It would have been just the two of them and he could have explained the whole thing and calmed the situation down very quickly and easilly. You never know, that Sargent may have gone back to roll call the next day and explained the situation to the shift and how to handle things like this so it doesnt escalate. Just my 2cents. -Scott
  8. No surprise there....I had one dealing with this place of business and it wasnt a good one. Sad too, they are about a mile from my home. Glad I now drive right by and go to see Tony at TJ Sporting Arms where I have purchased ALL my firearms and get treated 1,000,000 times better then Ocean Tactical. Good riddens to an establishment that had too many chiefs and not enough Indians. -Scott
  9. Thats a funny list! Just emailed it too all my gun friendly MALE friends! -Scott
  10. Thanks guys! I am currently reading up on it. Looks like they have open carry without any permits and reasonable CCW permit procedures....nice. Also, no permit to purchase and looks like no FID either. One gun a month doesnt really bother me since I usually dont have the funs for more then one a quarter....Va. just moved up on my list. -Scott
  11. My wife and I are trying to get out of the god forsaken state but cant find a place that we both like and has work in our fields. We both love north eastern Pa. (Pocono area) but the work situation is a bit tough. We are now looking into Va. Anyone have any info on their gun laws? Worse/better then NJ? CCW laws? Any info is much appreciated. -Scott
  12. ugh....once again I get screwed out of going shooting....have a fun night guys. -Scott
  13. I'm hoping to get there...if I go I will bring my SR9, Glock 22, and M&P 15-22. -Scott
  14. Thought I smelled something burning today Tony....how much did they burn? -Scott
  15. I can count on one hand the JPD officers that I feel comfortable holding that weapon out of their 79 current employees and the Chief is NOT one of them. The MP5's are only taken out for certain situations and a while back an officer got suspended when he decided rather then return it back to HQ he would drive around during his shift with it...guess it made him feel cool. Whats even worse is that it took almost the whole shift before any supervisors realized it!! Its like the blind leading the blind over there.... Anyone see the terrible report JPD got when they had a mock terrorist threat at Six Flags? The FBI and other federal agencies were there to see how well an attack could be handled. Lets just say I hope nothing major happens at Six Flags. Sorry for rambling on.....If Raritan PD feels they need the rifles and can obtain them at no cost to the public, then I agree with training the officers and getting them. -Scott
  16. Long story short I am tired of the CRAP my current place of employement has been giving me for the last 7yrs. Anyone looking for sales/service/management help for their business or a friend or family members business? I have been a retail sales manager/service manager/store manager at a Goodyear shop for the last 7yrs. I have a very good track record with customers as well as employees. I know what old fashion customer service is and I enjoy providing quality services to customers. I am trying to stay as local as I can. I did a lot of commuting for the current company and not looking to start doing 150mile round trips for work again. Any leads or info is greatly appreciated! Figure I would reach out to this community as well as do some online searching. Thanks in advance! -Scott
  17. Is that on all orders or just over $150 like the last one? -Scott
  18. Well I finally got to take my new MP 15-22 to the range and man what a fun gun this is! I am very happy with my decision to buy this gun. I picked up a 500rd box of American Eagle at Bob Kislins on Rt.37 for a relatively cheap price and headed to SS. I had no intentions of shooting the whole box but about an hour later they were all gone!!! The gun fired flawlessly. No hipcups, or failures of any sort. My 15rd. magazine from rrages.com was well worth the money as well. I was shooting at 15yards for most of the time and I did pretty good! I cant wait to take this thing outdoors and have some fun!!! I added a couple pics...first one with the three groupings were my first 75rds. Center mass was at 10yrds and the other two were at 15yrds. Second pic was about 275rds of the 500rd afternoon. These were at 15yds. -Scott
  19. Wont be able to make it this week and I am still waiting on my bulk 22lr ammo from Cabelas to arrive anyway. Have fun guys and I will see you HOPEFULLY next tuesday! -Scott
  20. Damn Maks....I ordered this about two hours earlier today. Can't beat the price and you get a ammo box with it. $80 shipped to my door. Wish I would have seen the link to have part of it contributed to the forum though. -Scott
  21. ok good...didnt want to have to go through all my 50rd boxes. -Scott
  22. I would keep searching for the used one. It is already $100 or more over your budget...why double your original budget? -Scott
  23. Are these all from the bulk yellow boxes with 250rounds per box? I have remington 50rd boxes that are white & green...are they also considered "UMC" and should I check them as well? -Scott
