  1. I would have agreed with the Mac suggestion, except for his VBA requirement. That doesn't fly well unless you run VMWare, etc.
  2. Sorta. He has terrible hours, and the one time I managed to take a day off just to go there, so many people were there in line that I never got to do any business.
  3. It would be more interesting to see if there are any gun shops which no one has any complaints about! Even our best shops (RTSP, etc) seem to have a few detractors. Is there any shop universally beloved without exception?

I paid $1300 for mine and thought it was a good deal!
  5. There are FFL bargains. Gun For Hire is $20 total, but you have to be a member. Other places have a few good deals, too.
  6. I made the legal rifle and legal shotgun flow charts, but not a where can I have a gun chart. That shouldn't be very hard.
  7. Oh, to me, EHT = East Hanover Township, which is NOT south of AC.
  8. [Never mind: EHT did not mean East Hanover Township] My close friend is nearby to you (Millburn) and a top notch excellent dentist. He has won many awards, been listed as the top dentist in NJ several times, etc. He is a DMD (so he went to medical school), and is a FAGD. Dr Ross Karlin. Tell him Dave Mc sent you. http://www.drrosskarlin.com/ Not only do I and my family see him, but also just about every friend I know, no matter where they live. -Dave
  9. I don't know how I did it, but I am a Patron Life Member, but have never received a single phone call from the NRA (not a single one), and have only received a few thick envelopes promoting the Ring of Freedom level, maybe twice a year. Never any real junk.
  10. I've fired around 4500 rounds of 9mm, 1500 rounds of 45 and 1000 rounds of 38 from FreedomMunitions without a single failure to fire. That's about a million times better than my success rate with WWB, which usually has at least one dud per box.
  11. I would suggest buying a new one and then having a Rossi expert tune it up. Rossi rifles can end up being the best out there with some tuning.
  12. Just buy one. Rossi makes them now, new. The Rossi Circuit Judge. http://www.rossiusa.com/product-details.cfm?id=212&category=15&toggle=&breadcrumbseries= 50 of them on GB right now, so you could probably have one middle of next week...
  13. [ I edited myself because I don't want to be unkind. Sorry. ]
  14. I agree cheek risers should be OK since they don't change the length of the stock. Otherwise, who knows? It's too bad we can't get them to clarify that they just don't want the rifle to be able to be adjusted below the legal minimum length. If the adjustability of the rifle's length is 40" to 44", it ought to be legal, since you can't make it too short. They were clearly trying to prevent people from having telescoping stocks that made rifles illegally short, but screwed up on the wording like all the other parts of the document.
  15. To be fair, we have no idea what level of adjustment is legal in stocks. It's an unanswered question. The wording in the AG's guidelines is "a folding or telescoping stock" - the letter doesn't give anymore details. We've had many debates about which Magpul stocks are legal, what's the difference between "telescoping" and adjustable, etc. No actual answers. I think the real answer is that it is legal unless you get into some other kind of trouble, in which case they will add assault weapon violations to the list of charges.
  16. I liked it at first, but have come to really dislike the way it looks. Too clunky.
  17. What's the best blog or website to see news and new products from Shot Show 2015? I remember in previous years following some very good websites, but my google-fu is not coming up with much this year.
  18. It's neat looking, but what is the purpose?
  19. Heritage Guild in Easton has pallets of CCI AR Tactical, which is my favorite 22LR, for around 7.5 cents.
  20. I liked the blocks of 300-round CCI AR 22LR that were selling for 3x what Heritage Guild in Easton has them for, right now.
  21. I went, and on my deathbed I'm going to lament those wasted 3 hours. What a terrible show. Super cramped and ridiculous prices on every single thing in the entire show. Nothing good, and a lot of overpriced crap. I need to remember to look at gunbroker any time I am thinking about buying anything, because gun shows like these are wastes of effort. Yuck. Also, $10 WTF.
  22. Good information. I'm not sure I was always careful to have my license with me. I'll make sure I do!
  23. I would pay $22.33 to not have to do it in a store. Online was fast and easy. Any time I've ever done it in a store, no matter how good a hunting store it was, something screwed up. The machine failed, the person didn't hit the correct magic buttons, some permit I wanted wasn't available that very minute, etc. Online was so much better. I'll never do it in person again!
