I went to my local toy store and they had a Gen 2 Glock 19 in 85% condition sitting in the used section. I looked it over and the gun looks like it was fired maybe a few times the put away. No wear marks on the barrel hood or anything. They are asking 350 for it. I put a deposit on it with plans to pick it up this week. When I got home I decided to look up the serial number of the gun to get an idea of when it was manufactured, but while reaserching I found something that worried me. The first letter in the S/N is E. I read that some gen 2 E series glocks had problems and were subject to a recall. It was too late for me to call glock so I thought I would get some opnions here. Is this still a good deal? Should I risk it? Will glock still honor the recall? or should I get something else? Any advice is appreciated guys.

So I received my second magazine today, and it feeds from a closed bolt when fully loaded with 15 rounds. Awesome!

The mini 14 and mini 30 are nice, But the deal breaker for me were the magazines. Expensive, and hard to get 15 round magazines. With the AK you have a large selection of parts, accessories and magazine choices. I had a Mini 14 before, In the end I sold it and purchased an AR. When I wanted something in 7.62x39 I went with an AK. Glad I did.

agreed, Metal mags are my preference as well. sadly the 15 round metal mags seem to elude me. lol

OK so I tried full 15 rounds with some wolf ammo, before I used snap caps, and I think mine has the same issue. Will not pull back on a closed bolt with 15 rounds. Anything lower then the 15 rounds works fine.

I got my one magazine in the mail. Wanted to make sure they fit. It does. I can load 15 rounds into my magazine and it will chamber from the closed bolt. On mine at least.

I am in kind of the same boat. I purchased ghost ring sights for my Remington 870, and I cant find anyone who will install them. I feel your pain. lol

Last time I was at Chyannes they had 2 Romanian SARs for sale. So he must be fine with selling AK style rifles now.
