  1. Millville PD got my last P2P done in 47 days. Waiting on one now. The ladies in records dept. are very nice to deal with.
  2. EXACTLY ! Why don't these people stand on a street corner in Camden or Newark and tell them that they're gonna take their guns away.
  3. Good video http://patriotaction...y-fred-thompson
  4. I just don't understand the focus on the Barrett. Who in the hell would carry a legally owned Barrett to a crime? That's so hard to believe that anyone even thought about it. Although he mentioned the Barrett in the video games. Maybe that's where the idea came from. Somebody mentioned that he might be 'throwing a bone' and I think that could be it. I'm not getting too excited about what he said because all he did was give us an idea of what he is willing to sign. It still has to go through the legislature and we've seen how they can come up with some pretty outlandish stuff. We need to keep the pressure on. Convince them that the current FID with DL photo works just fine and the state doesn't have to spend money on a new system. Any ideas we can come up with that would sound good to them and not effect our rights (at least more than they already have) should be shared. Who knows we might be able to shape our own destny, at least to some degree. I'm not trying to be overly optimistic, 'cause I know what we're up against. Just throwing out a suggestion.
  5. Lots of helicopter activity at Millville Airport today. Boeing has a facility there to work on Chinooks and you see them flying around. Today seemed like more activity than usual for them. I caught a glimpse of two that looked like Apache. Also a Coast Guard and one marked 'State Trooper' but not NJ. That one appeared to have the Delaware State logo but couldn't be sure. I had lunch there and I'm sure there were, at least, a couple more. Unusual for Millville but then fixed wing traffic was higher than normal for a weekday.
  6. Which one? I assume you mean the Shield. I'd be glad to let you shoot the Shield, Nano, or 5906. Still need my permit for the Shield. It's paid for but not 'mine' yet.
  7. My last one, in Dec/Jan took 47 days. Put in for one few days ago so I'll see if it's better or worse. Btw...the ladies in our Police Department are very, very nice to deal with.
  8. If enough people start asking this question, it could make some people nervous. Maybe we should, at least, bring up the subject at every opportunity.
  9. No. The 5906 is a very heavy gun, all stainless steel. As such, the recoil is nothing. Every time I clean it, I admire the way it's built. I believe these (the 'TSW' versions) were built for LE. I know when I bought it used, it was an ex LE gun. I love shooting this one. Mine:
  10. Yep! It was Bob's. I honestly don't know what they have for rentals. I have had a chance to shoot a Shield and I liked it a lot. At the same time, his buddy offered to let me shoot his Nano which I also liked. The Shield was my first choice but they couldn't be found. Since the Nano was so close and I've always wanted a Beretta, I bought one. I really like it but that Shield just stuck with me so when I had the chance, I jumped on it. Funny thing is... on the day I shot the Nano and Shield, I had my S&W 5906TSW. They asked what I was shooting so I returned the favor and let each of 'em shoot the 5906. When I saw 'em later in the store, they both told me they had to find a 5906. Works both ways, I guess.
  11. So the phone rings and my wife picks it up. I hear "oh, hi...how are you? Yes, he's here, hold on". Then "Hi, remember when you asked to be put on the list for a 9MM Shield? Well, today is your day. One just came in and you're at the top of the list". Needless to say, I was in the truck and on my way as fast as an old fart can. So, I finally got my Shield. Of course it'll probably be a couple of months until I get to bring it home.
  12. I'm glad that I got to post this and glad that I called in. The show's host was definitely pro gun. She offered that she she would do another show if she got enough requests. Her email is [email protected] My apologies, though. I should've been on top of this and posted it sooner.
  13. A discussion about gun laws is on WVLT 92.1 right now. That station is in Vineland. Listen online http://www.wvlt.com/
  14. Back in the 70's, I use to deliver parts to a man in Mullica Hill who had a setup in his back yard. I think he built everything himself. I use to change my route a little so that I could get there early. He would always love to talk and show people his trains. Not sure but the scale might've been a little bigger. It was really cool. Enjoyed the heck out of your videos.
  15. I'm beginning to think that we don't have to fight the Dems. They're gonna self destruct. This candidate says " they have conceal and carry, but nobody pulled out their gun to kill the gentleman that did all the damage that he did, and they could have…." scuse me lady....gun free zone+law abiding citizens......DO YOU GET IT NOW? Oh my God.... I can't keep reading this stuff. http://legalinsurrec...-the-gentleman/
  16. I bought a Nano but I still want a 9mm Shield
  17. I couldn't you agree with you more. We need to get the legislators on our side to be more aggressive. They don't need to to use the term guns as much as they need to use the word 'rights'. We're more likely to 'pull' people to our side by using the word 'rights' over and over. IMHO, it's very important to draw the 'silent' people into this. Last night at the NJ2AS meeting, in Winslow Township, there was a discussion about meetings with New Jersey Legislators. They mentioned that at one meeting the legislator (Sen. Weinberg, I believe) made a comment "why should I let you do that". Really?!! She feels that she has a 'right' to let us do something? It's not that way. We have the rights. They need to hear that it's our 'right' all the time. It has to ring in their ears all day long. I know it won't be easy. However, if we could get a beseige them with a constant and never ending barage of 'rights' issues, it has to have some effect. We can do some of it and it's obvious that organizations like the NJ2AS and NJRPC are working on that. Still, until we can get some of the people who sit with the Weinbergs, Greenwalds, Sweeneys, Mainors, Cryans, et al on a regular basis, we're peddling the bike uphill.
  18. Just got home from this meeting. Very nice to see that it was a packed house. Enjoyed the meeting, presentations and meeting people. Wish I could have met more but, like I said it was packed. Atalntic County Sheriif Frank Balles spoke and it was nice to hear his views. He's running against Jim Whelan for NJ Senate in district 2. I wish him the very best. He's on our side and a very likable, common sense kind of guy. I encourage everyone here to join NJ2AS if you haven't already.
  19. I've been looking at this one from SneakyPete's Holsters. I have a Nano. I only have 6rd mags but I've put grip extensions on 'em and I'm not sure it will work. The nice part is that with it closed, it's concealed. http://www.sneakypet...ster-belt-clip/
