This is just an observation but you can pay $300 to $850 for s Saiga. You can convert it or not. But if you look at some of the products, the quality varies as much as the price. Some of the rivet jobs appear to have been done by a monkey. So buyer beware. Happy New Year!

The Cabelas $3.99 is from a recent catalog valid into Feb. So I typed the part number on line and it says 'does not exist'. I had to call and order by phone at $3.99.

Reported today that a federal court declares steroid testing for LEOs (called cops in the paper) does not violate their rights. Several in Jersey City were put on a desk after taking their weapons. So to all the forum DUI 'discussers', there is justice in the world. Once in a while, maybe rarely, nobody is above the law. If you are out of your house and your blood is impaired, it doesn't matter if you are a citizen, priest, LEO, judge, etc. A potentially bad situation is brewing. Merry Christmas.

In New Jerseystan you have no recourse when being shot at. You're expected to hide in your home and call the cops. Does anybody read the paper every day? The Times of Trenton basically EVERY day has a shooting story. Some gang member, yahoo, criminal or other person is popping off his probably illegal gun. I would guess it is the same or worse in Camden and Newark. So today they report: Home struck by five rounds... officers recover casings.... .762 caliber hunting or assault rifle.... no injuries.. OK NO TYPO HERE .762 cal. So it was micro bore or cannon bore, I don't know. Yes yes I am probably nit picking a Times typo but often they are ignorant. Sometimes a mag is clip and vice versa and so on. But here is my serious question. What is the homeowner's legal recourse to fight back? Can I exit my house with my weapon and blast away? Must I stay inside and respond from a window? (Ah, the good old days of Josey Wales LOL) Must I call the cops and pray my rosary? Would like to use 10 round AI mags so I need a new 'bottom metal'. Anybody do this? Concerns (from some research so far) Dremel work required? (the stock is factory) New bolt stop required? Mag release included? The only US supplier I found is CDI (for a bottom metal). Others in UK and DE. Thanks.

This book is fantastic. A great read. Doesn't matter if you are an AR or AK fan. Some weapons history. Some world history. And more. When it comes to the Gov and the M-16 it's another story of how they lie and waste your tax money but mostly get people killed for no good reason. Then when you point out the problems you become the bad guy.

I guess they are generally OK. But watch out for the 'cheaper' claim. I directly compared an ammo order with Cabela's and Midway. Yes the ammo was cheaper but the shipping was way out of line and the net difference was about zero. They do carry some stuff that most others don't - eg., Tikka extended mags that I need.

My $.02. Buckmark is a great 22. Shoots real nice. Feals as good as my fully loaded Px4 in 40. Maybe better.
