  1. No problem at all. For what its worth, i think you got a good deal, I love my eotech. They make a great product, and I seem to prefer the small center dot and circle style reticle.
  2. Im not 100% positive, but i believe their might have been a recall on the battery door, in response to the complaints about flickering reticles.
  3. Nick it was a bummer i had to give you the DQ, but it was a good experience overall, and you handled it like a true gentleman. It reminded the group that things do happen, and at least every one was safe. As far as ruining everyones time, you didn't, it was that stupid last stage with the itty bitty plates.
  4. No, I think he placed in one of the 22 divisions last month.
  5. Nick, a friends dad may squad with us as well.
  6. Im a maybe, but im going to do my best to come down. Nick or Alec-Whats the power factor floor?
  7. going to sound like an odd question but is that a pelican case? If so do you like it?
  8. Dont get too hung up on the dot size. Most dots are only that small when they are at a low setting. If you boost up the light transmission to the point where you can see it in daylight, the dot edge bleeds and becomes larger. For what its worth, I run an eotech, which has a 1moa dot, and love it, but its out of your stated price range.
  9. Your bug out bag must weigh a ton.
  10. 17 hmr is a rimfire round. While some on this board have proven it is possible to load for rimfire, it does not seem to be worth it.
  11. In NJ your point of purchase background check is actually done by the NJ state police NICS unit, whose hours you are now aware of. The majority of the rest of the country calls into the 24hr nics instant check hotline. The point of purchase nics check is in my opinion, as someone who sells firearms, the important one. Im glad that the buyer displayed that they were not a prohibited person when they got the card, but that was done when the application was filed. The point of sale background check is the important one because that covers the time period between receiving your card, and when you actually want to make a purchase. Things happen, people get charged up, and emotions get the better of people. If someone who was involved in an incident that would make them a prohibiter person after they got their card, I would have way to know that if the point of sale check was not done.

  13. If you plan on doing that, and want to get a head start on the template, I think their is a full scale image of the workable space on the magwell in the njgf lower thread.
  14. Im not sure if you can use it with a brush, but duracout is made to be used on guns. http://www.duracoat-firearm-finishes.com/

  18. If you bullet is still rising in its flight path (arc) you will hit low on the paper. This is cause by the scope being a few inches over the bore. The scope is actually accurate at 2 different yardages, one on the upward arc, one on the downward arc. Both of these points are where the strait line (line of sight) through the scope, intersect the arc shaped bullet trajectory.
