  1. Dude, I just said above that we're not really gonna be spoiling much. That we'll mostly be discussing differences between the comic and the show after the show aired. This thread is for both the comic and the show, so while I will personally try to not spoil anything for people, I don't want to be totally restricted in mentioning/wondering about details from the comic.
  2. mmm, I dunno Jon. I made the caption on this thread "Discuss the comic and show" maybe the non-comic book reading populace can have their own thread for just the show but seriously, it's available at the library. that's how I read them. Somerset County is great that you can put them on hold online and have them delivered to your local branch. Given now that the show is out, I see more people are putting them on hold, but you can still get your hands on them - FREE! Here's a link to the first paperback collection I doubt we'll be spoiling too much though. it will probably be more like "OMG did you see that?!?!?!? I can't believe they showed that!!!" or maybe discussing certain differences between the show and the comic after the episodes have played on TV.
  3. the basic story line is all laid out in the comic for many episodes to come. sure there are those "show-specific" details that shouldn't be given away if someone has seen episodes that haven't premiered on TV yet (thanks, Caine). but wondering if "hey are they gonna kill off so-and-so like they did in the comic" or whatever else that already happened in the comic is fair to discuss.
  4. even though I haven't experienced it, I know that's what half the kids are like. I know we made sure our 4 y.o. daughter said "trick or treat" and "thank you". some of the times she clammed up and got shy and just stood there and smiled. I think it's the generation of kids (6 + years old) and it's gotta have something to do with parenting. we only had like literally two trick or treaters come. both said the proper magic words. one of them were our neighbors that we know, our kids play together... now all the candy is MINE!!!
  5. there was a helicopter later on - I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't read the comic, so I won't say when or where. I don't remember if there was one when he was in Atlanta. it's been a while since I read "Days gone Bye"
  6. it's definitely not pleasant to watch, but it's an important part of the story line in the comic. for those that haven't read it, you'll see how it develops. "Can the mods combine this in the ZED section please?" +1 http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/18676-the-walking-dead
  7. absolutely! gun play was nice, except for the car chase and the scene in the tank was way cool.
  8. greetings and salutations!

  14. AKs mmmmmmm every Russian boy's dream...

  15. I meant to also say that I don't know the person's body size and build, so I don't want to generalize. didn't want to make the post too long. you are absolutely correct, Vlad - it's a subjective thing. what feels right to me, may not feel right to you or may be absolutely perfect for the next guy or gal.
  16. I'm gonna be that, except with younger children. I bought a ninja suit in Chinatown, NYC years ago. it was either $50 for a fakey Party City costume or $50 for the "real" thing. so that's my old "Halloween standby". or maybe a cow. we have matching cow costumes for the whole family from a couple of years ago. I just hate supporting the Halloween Industrial Complex and buying more crap that will just lay around the house and eventually get stuffed in the attic and forgotten. mmm, I also have this Indian (dots, not feathers) pajama looking outfit that my wife's friend brought from India and gave to me. But considering we'll be with friends in Edison - it won't be much of a "costume"
  17. multi-quote is nice. so is quick reply. PM functionality is .... different. otherwise, same thing just slightly different look. I didn't mind Sirsloop - he was funny if you didn't take him too seriously. I'm guessing he got banned?
  18. there's an article in this Month's American Rifleman on the 1897 trench gun. very interesting.
  19. YAY! more NJ Russians with guns!!! привет и добро пожаловать!
  20. I believe so. the "evil" features AFAIK don't apply to pump action shotguns. but the question is, do you really want a pistol grip only shotgun? you can really only fire that from the hip. most people get hit in the face trying to shoot those at eye level. while they look bada**, they're not as functional. is this what you mean?
  21. very very nice, Ken. the youngster with a rifle is a nice touch. thumbs up!
  22. welcome! 2 young kids and a workin' wife leaves less time for gunplay, I know
