NJ is a one party consent state like mentioned before, it doesn't matter what form of taping, phone calls, video, tape recorder... As long as one person with in the conversation knows its being recorded its fine. I dont believe we have anything in place in regards to private or public locations either, but if your in a PD your on public property, and in NJ i believe being on public property grants you zero privacy rights.

Taking a one side approach in a dilemma like this never works to your advantage. You did what any person trying to get something done the right way should. Attack the issue from a mis-informed attitude, not your wrong im right. people never like to be told there wrong, especially when there in charge of the screw up. This a great example of how to get anything done in life effectively. You may have wasted a good part of your day, but you just saved countless hours of other peoples time in your town.

They E-mail you the label and you tape it on! M$ sent me one for my xbox years ago, very simply, i only did this because i still had the shipping box they sent me from the last time it broke, because if they mail u the label u get the shipping box for free. No point in waiting for one in the mail unless they send you a box with it. You have to bring it to a hub anyway, if there are issues with the label they can throw a new one on.

The reason ruger doesn't use this is exactly because of the stripping issue. There are no parts to strip in the original design. Plus the parts snap into place and no tools are needed. You could take down a ruger and put it back together just a quickly with out the mod, and still keep the reliability. I would suggest the kit for someone who is having continual problems with the re-assembly of the ruger, but i don't see this mod as an upgrade.

The ruger take down and re-assembly is very easy if you know how to do it. You tube has plenty of videos showing how to do it. Basically its a process of holding the gun in a certain orientation while you put specific parts back in. The first couple times is a PITA because of the tight fit, but once you do it a couple times everything slides right in.

Maybe we are just hopelessly out of touch with modern society or maybe our status as college students from New Jersey is preventing us from understanding why people in Montana seem to love guns so much. Im gonna have to post this again because, well, he hit the nail on the head on that one!

Nothing is as exciting when you get that notice or phone call, your papers are ready for pick up!! The wait can be painful, but it gives you time to really find something you will enjoy, instead of running out and getting the first thing you like.

You would probably be right most of the time, and this guy just may have had his head 1s from being shot off. The way i see it, gun is pointed at me, either way right or wrong i'm gonna do what he says. People think more rash when there not feeling threatened too. Social issues always change with time especially in this country. At some point in time we looked at women as if they were lesser then a black male and it was legal to beat them in your own home.. So it goes both ways. The whole driving a car license thing is mute. they basically hand those things out if you can put the car in park and drive. Thats like giving some one a gun and having them load and cock it to pass the test.

I was under the impression it was the duty of the officer to uphold the law and arrest those who break it, if you do not know the law how can you perform your duties in a proficient manner? I'm not arguing the officer investigating the situation, i would hope that they investigate suspicious activity, but i would also expect them to be professional, know the law, and make reasonable arrests. In this country you have the right to challenge the system, especially when this **** happens. So now if NJ ever accepts a shall issue we will all get this treatment when some concerned citizen sees one of us carrying?

This doesnt make sense, he said in plain English very politely, i have a permit to carry firearms open or concealed, it was the officer who choose to insult him and ignore him. If he knew the law he would have said let me see the permit, and the guy w Would have been on his merry way. Let me ask this, why should citizens have to put up with this kinda crap to begin with? LEO should know the law, we shouldnt have to explain it to them for this exact reason. I mean what the hell do these guys learn at the academy? What kind of system is this where they have to learn the law through experience, how do u know this is even a real cop? and not some guy dressed like one looking to take your gun.. I would have serious doubts have a gun pointed at me buy some guy who claims to be a cop but doesnt know the laws.

No offense, but if the guy did not argue with the LEO, he would have probably ended up in jail and booked for illegal possession of a firearm, and then would have had the pleasure of dealing with the legal system. So i dont understand the notion of just shut up when your in the right. If you were in the wrong, then yes just shut up. We shouldnt have to put up with the kinda ****, this is like a cop pulling you over and guns drawn and telling you to get out of the car, arrests you, says hey man i dont know who you are! i dont know u have a license to drive a car! Pathetic man, how can you uphold laws you dont know exist......

Is it not this mentality that got us here in the first place. I can just take money and not pay it back because i am unable to do so.. Then complain when the repo men show up to take your belongings. I have a news flash for you, you may not be paying off your debt, but other people are doing it for you. When the banks take a hit from you, they just take it from other people, they have never and will never sport your bill. People can blame the banks all they want but when it comes down to it, they did not force your to take out a loan you couldnt pay, or make you swipe that card thousands of times. So in reality, i have no issue with the banks, i have issues with people who feel they are entitled to free money. I also have a very big issue with people on unemployment who feel they are entitled to sit on there a** and just collect. People honestly need it, and they try to work, but cant. I also know people on unemployment who have under the table jobs which pisses me off even more. Why a 25 year old who never had a real job to begin with gets unemployment is beyond me, with the current system i see why people fall into this mentality but it is not right. I know people who make more money sitting on there a** doing nothing then before they were let go from there previous job.

I usually go the buy once route. When all said and done an eotech or aimpoint will last a life time and will retain value. Both sell either holographic or red dot optics with the option for flip magnifiers. You can buy knock offs or cheaper alternatives but it comes down to the whole purpose thing. Do you want to pay for top quality? these optics will endure everything u can throw at them, aside from beating it with a mallet. If your not the type to think you would ever need such quality then look at cheaper alternatives.

If you want Pmags from magpul contact midwestpx, he sells them in NJ legal form in many different styles, i picked up 20rd mags blocked to 15 and there amazing. For the price you can get them from him, there not even worth trying to mod yourself. I think he will mod mags that you already have too if you ship them out to him. I must say the quality of his mods are second to none.

+10000! i get my ammo at almost 25% off online at regular prices, not sales. I will never buy ammo in NJ ever again unless im trying out a new round and only buy a box. But other then that i buy bulk, so much cheaper, and delivered to my door.

My PD just lists my position, they dont list my employer, i dont believe they called my employer either, as one of my co-workers had his town call in and was confronted about it, and i was not, we both applied around the same time too.

Talk about getting way in over your head. I'm not sure these kids had any idea what they were getting themselves into. Anything that comes with substantial rewards comes with substantial penalties/risks. These guys had what it took to claim there rewards, but didnt even bother to think about how to protect themselves. I laughed when i read the part about the Russian, ballsy man, ballsy.
