  1. I would contact HT and explain what happened. Hopefully they will make good on it. I have no experience with HT so maybe others can chime in on that. The 308 Buffer is shorter due to the longer 308 Bcg. (see below)
  2. If you don't want the spring, shoot me a p/m what you want for it. I agree the 3g is a sweet trigger but I am also a curious bastard and would like to try it.
  3. I like IDPA at Blue Ridge Cherry Valley R&G. It is North of Easton just off rt 33. and they feed you too! Check it out: http://www.brcv-gun.org/
  4. Interesting, did you try it with the heavier spring yet? Lol, wait till you try the SD-3G, They ain't cheap, but they sure are nice. Anyone out there have a SD-C I am curious and would like to compare it to the E.
  5. That is up to the individual user. The SD-E was designed more for a PR and the SD-C more for CQB and of course the SD-3G for 3 gun comp. I read somewhere once where a guy loves the 3G trigger and even uses them on his precision rifle. It's just personal preference and individual opinions/results will vary..... a lot! Lol
  6. Not if the seller purchased the handgun prior to living in NJ and then moved to NJ. The NJSP and/or Local PD would have no record of the handgun.
  7. For a better understanding ,look at the trigger profile graph at the bottom of this link: http://geissele.com/pdfs/SD_flyer3_wTriggerScan.pdf
  8. raz-0 , I have the sd-3g and sd-e. I love the sd-e and I am still trying to get used to the 3g, it is fast. I was thinking the sd-c in his case only because it was closer to mil-spec and was more of a shtf/combat trigger and I think that is what he is looking for. I have not shot the sd-c though.
  9. No problem, Thanks for your contributions to the forum. I think you will be very pleased with your selection. The SSA is a very popular trigger for run and gun and I too like Geissele's flat trigger bow in their SD series very much. So for you I think the SD-C is the perfect choice.
  10. First, I don't think anyones job is easy. Alot of the first part of what you said can be applied to many, many, professions. As far as a LEO goes I would love the part of being able to carry a firearm much past that I would fail miserably. You have to remember that most of the time the contact a person has with LE is when the person has broken the law (Often a motor vehicle violation). If the officer "let's them go" They tell all their friends the story of the "Cool Cop" who gave them a break. If the officer gives them a ticket, They tell all their friends the story of the "SOB" that didn't have anything better to do then pull me over and give me a ticket. Right or wrong, it's just human nature. People rarely take responsibility for their own actions when they are wrong, but you already knew that.
  11. Geez, I gotta get out from under my rock. I have no idea wtf these films are.
  12. You forgot to add they make a damn fine cup of coffee too.
