  1. Dave, what are you saying? If I hold the trigger down and work the hammer it will fire? I gotta try that! Never really bring that Ruger out for anything.........
  2. I did this a few years ago, go through the process again. I actually applied for two at the same time, so if I happen to lose another, I have a backup in the safe.
  3. Heck, we used to take pictures of our score sheets when shooting steel with our cell phones. That way when my wife bribed the RO's to "fix" her score so she could out-shoot me I could prove to her I actually won.
  4. I was going to buy a couple of Saigas to have for winter time projects, that will be put-off for now. I can always use the ammo in my little CZ plinkers. Bolt action with 5 round mags makes the ammo last a lot longer anyway. I'm glad I bought a spare Saiga-12 last year, they always seem to come and go around here.
  5. You have good eyes if you saw that small sign while driving down the road, especially with all the traffic that is on that road at times. The only other range I have been to with a smaller sign is Mallard. Well, we won't count OBRPC outdoor range, we have no sign for that range!
  6. Iggy, we looked at the last target I shot, I was down 6. Alec, you and Nick can come, but you can't use my good gun, you can use on of my other .22's. And Alec, I know you have a Ruger 10/22 with a bull barrel, bring that one! I bought a gun via Gunbroker last year after getting my butt kicked badly using my Ruger SR-22, what a night and day difference! See you on July 23rd Iggy, hopefully with the wife, it is our anniversary that day, hopefully she will want to go shootin'.
  7. Ok, I will see you later. Nick, you can use my gun when I'm done, just don't out-shoot me like usual! The Harris bipod is on it and seems really nice.
  8. Iggy, please let us know if this will happen today. After those winds last night a LOT of trees are down in Central Jersey and not sure if we can get into the range. Nick, go take a look for us!
  9. Call Sweeney and tell him how you feel, I did, he SUCKS! The unions love him though.
  10. Yeah, you got that right. Give them 20 years, that state will be an "Eastern" Kalifornia............. I plan on getting out of NJ, but I won't be going West.
  11. I don't know, but this also looks like a good way to list stuff for sale without being a paying member here......................
  12. Because I have sooooo much .40 brass, not a lot of 10mm brass.
  13. I have a Buckmark Hunter that has never given me a problem with any ammo I have ever used in it. I never tried subsonic, but when I say I have used a lot of stuff, some of these 100 round packs of ammo have 1.99 stickers on them, they are that old! It is a 6" barrel, if it matters. I had one FTE like you, but that was due to the slide not being able to cycle doing weakhand shooting and had it against the 2x4! My revolvers never cared where I rested them.
  14. Rosie is built like a cannon but he can move if-needed. I am not sure if you need a handgun permit for a black powder pistol, what's the answer Rosie? And make sure you ask Dave (Rosie) first about the different types of black powder guns before you buy anything. He is a library full of knowledge!
  15. This is why Alec always beats me. Nick subtracts 5 seconds from his time and adds it to mine! OK, maybe he is just better than me. I can own up to the fact I suck, it's ok.................
  16. Disturbing. Makes me want to sell all my .40 stuff now. Maybe even give-away the 610.............. I'm waiting for Alec and Nick to bombard me with texts and PM's now.
  17. That looks a lot like a gun store I went to in Delaware (maybe Maryland) several years ago. Nice!
  18. Every once in awhile the wife and I will go to our indoor or outdoor range and just punch holes in paper, maybe put some clays on the berm so we can see them break. But that is just to blow-off steam. Once we started participating in the shooting competitions, we really started to like it so much more. I love Knockdown Steel. Great to here the sound and see the plate fall. Not too much into USPSA, but do it from time to time. IDPA was more fun for me. Try Sporting Clays, that is the only thing I like more than Knockdown Steel. Been Drag Racing since 1990, not burned out with it yet............. (Yes, pun intended!)
  19. There, you sealed the deal, now I will buy one two................ PS: I do have plenty of ammo for them, just never bought a semi yet. I bought two little CZ carbines which use 5.56 and 7.62x39 as plinkers. Really nice little guns. Time for a couple of semis.
  20. Now my wife is really going to dislike you guys. Another good reason so buy another gun! I see I have two weeks, gotta start the search now!
  21. I had a 9mm version and sold it to a friend. I had two .40 cal versions, sold one, kept the other. Must have an easy 5000 rounds through it, cleaned it two or three times.......... It just works! I use it for Knockdown Steel all the time. It is one of my favorite guns. It is also the UGLIEST gun I own! If you can find one for less than $600 is good condition, buy it. I may just get another one or two of them, just can't go wrong with them.
  22. So what will happen at the booths in the next few elections in NY? Nothing. Only the legal gun-owners would possibly try to vote for people that aren't on the list of those that voted all that crap in. Most others don't care. For many voters, there is no one to vote for in many cases, now what? Same thing happens here in NJ. Unless you want to write a name in, there is no one worth voting for.
  23. He started selling his vast collection to fund upgrades to his motorcycle. I bought my 625 and 610 from him several years ago. He had a safe in the corner with his personal stuff in it for sale. I think he told me his wife is (was) a doctor and she helped buy all those guns! RIP Tiny, AKA: James Taylor.
