  1. It feels slightly 'hotter' than a few other 115 grain 9mm factory loads out of a beretta 92, but overall very good. I've never had any failures with it, and it doesn't seem as dirty as remington, or USAAmmo. If it's on sale, i'd go for it.
  2. I really enjoy the Gen4 personally and haven't had any issues with mine. I also have small-medium hands, and the gen 4 feels more comfortable to me. I also prefer the larger mag release.
  3. Nice ad. They should make one of those ads with the Sarah Mclaughlin songs in the background, but for guns. You know those commercials with puppies that make you reach for the remote?
  4. Welcome to the Bar! I do wish you luck finding a job. You should hopefully have better luck if you are in the north Jersey / New York area as opposed to the Southern New Jersey / Philly region. I don't think people realize how high the unemployment rate is for new lawyers. There are more current law students than there are currently employed attorneys in the whole US, and turnover is lower than other industries. Good Luck, and Welcome to the club
  5. I've personally had my Catalytic Coverter stolen when I was parked outside of class in Camden. I had no idea that was a popular item for thieves until then.
  6. I just went in for 4 total. Great Deal with the free shipping. I appreciate it, Thanks!
  7. Afrojack - "Take over control" is playing in my headphones right now. Good track.
  8. It actually appeared to be a mix of both steel and some other metal. The ones I believed to be steel did stick to a magnet. The others, a minority, were something else. It may have been nickle plated. When I presented a photo of those rounds to USAAmmo I was told they were 'normal yellow brass' that had undergone a 'washing process' that stripped the color. This chemical, allegedly used in california for environmental reasons, can supposedly do this. I wasn't told that some of them are nickel plated brass. For further reference, the unknown metal cased ones were very shiny compared to some speer gold dots i have. Even if that part about the 'washing process' is true, which it may be, I still received boxes with half steel, part unknown 'silvery metallic' cased, and a couple of regular brass all mixed together.
  9. I forgot to mention in the last post, that I also tested some of the rounds that were not brass cased and they actually fired well. The lack of quality control is astounding.
  10. Add me to the list of those who will never use USAAmmo again. I have had many different problems with them, all of which started at the time of the gearhog promo. All of my orders were the 115 grain 9mm fmj. The problems are all quality control related it seems. Since I'm such a sucker, I made another purchase after the promo and had more problems. I still have a stack in the safe that I'll never use. Many of the rounds are completely inaccurate. I've tested them from a bench / supported out of both a glock 19 gen 4, and a kel tec 9mm carbine and had the same issues. They are all over the place, and terribly inaccurate at 25m or beyond. Testing the same guns from the same rests with both Federal and Speer have shown that it is an ammo problem. The next lot I had from USA Ammo, wasn't even all brass!! Yes, they had a mix of steel casings in my batch. Not just a few, but 40 / 50 in a box. This happened in more than one box. My contact directly with customer service was beyond insulting. I was told that 'I don't know what lake city brass looks like'.... and it goes beyond that. Finally I was told 'they are aware of this problem' and I was offered no resolution other than a free hat. I don't want a hat promoting this garbage. I went from being their biggest fan, to someone who will tell everyone I know to not buy their product. Their advertisement banners should be taken from this site.
  11. Not complete without the Tactical Spork!
  12. Jo Koy is hilarious. I spent the day finishing my kitchen remodel, and spackling all the joints / corners. It's the project that just won't end.
  13. I like the South Jersey Shooting Club overall because of the variety of ranges there. 25 pistol, 50yard (plinking targets allowed), 100yd rifle, and 300 yd rifle. You can bring your own ammo, and the people are generally friendly to each other. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but it's the best I've found in South Jersey so far.
  14. Make sure you order enough to avoid the 'special handling fee' for orders under $25. I still think it's ridiculous to charge a consumer a fee for ordering less expensive items.
  15. The website says they have a range of up to 100 yds. That would be a lot of fun...which means it's probably not legal here
  16. The man speaks the truth. Although on my Saiga 5.45 mags I was only able to fit 2 more rounds, it's still an improvement and I've had no failures either. I find more uses for that Dremel every week.
  17. It's a clip from the Swedish movie 'Kopps'.
  18. I also had no problems at all with these. No Failure to fire or eject, even during rapid fire. I also tried these in the .22 conversion for the beretta 92, and had no problems whatsoever. Although, I have also had flawless performance in both from the cheaper Winchester '555' plated hp.
  19. You absolutely do not have to store ammo at home separate from your guns. You can keep it IN the guns...or next to it, or on top of it, or anywhere you please. The only exception being loaded weapons within reach of children.

    Wolf 9mm

I've shot wolf 9mm out of a beretta 92, and a keltec sub2k. It fed, fired, and ejected flawlessly. I generally go with brass ammo, but haven't noticed any issues with the steel cased, or when switching between the two in a single session.
  21. I've only tested it on 2 bakelite pinned ak-74 mags... and it will fail to feed 2/3 of the time in my saiga. The nose of the round will hit square against the lower half of the barrel and jam. Is it possible that a different type of ak-74 mag is giving other people better results? I'd love to know, because those factory 10 round mags are absurdly expensive. Unless someone has an extra one to spare?
  22. Do you have a link or picture that shows the lips of a thermold magazine? It's not that I don't believe you, but I heard that about another type of ak mag, and it didn't fit the saiga without a bullet guide. I'm still trying to find a 15 rounder that has the saiga factory style straight lip on the magazine in 5.45.
  23. Is anyone aware of any brick and mortar stores in southern NJ or Philadelphia area that sells reloading supplies such as powder and bullets? I'm sorry if it's been asked and answered before, but before I place an online order with shipping and Hazmat charges... I'd like to first see if I can support a local business. Thanks
