  1. They will be actually closing around end of the year but they have started their closing down Sale.
  2. I have the CZ SP01 Tactical(in 9mm & 40) which has the decocker instead of a safety. I use the 9mm version in IDPA. As an aside, It can only be shot in SSP due to the full length dust cover.
  3. I have one I wear on the advanced tactical courses. Thought being, were a home invasion to happen and Given 30 secs advanced warning - hopefully by the pooch, - I would pop it on. So i train to take account of the awkwardness.
  4. Remember buddying with you when doing Low light barricade drills at GFH when we were both starting in on shooting. As I recall, We also took up IDPA around the same time too Farewell and all the Best Irish Pete
  5. Once I turned the intensity way down on the optic, I was pretty happy with it. However, this was a first time shooting my stag 3 with the optic so time will tell.
  6. So I ended up going with the bushnell 1X32 and attached it today. So now its just a matter of getting to the range and it turns out the bushnell has BUI's built in at the top of the scope so no need for the offset sights....which is neat as the offset sights give the gun an odd profile lying down and rifle would not have fit in the current case.

    What's missing?

Sp01 tactical ( i have 2 ) has night sights, Full lenght dust cover, higher cap mags ( a downside in NJ ), bulit in accessory rail and a decocker instead of a safety.
  8. Thanks for the info Vlad, Something to chew on. I am left eye dominant and right handed. I shoot pistol with both eyes open and have to shoot lefty with a long gun so my left eye can get down and sight along the barrel. It feels awkward manipulating the Rifle with my off hand but i cannot get my left eye along the gun sights when I shoulder it on the right so I have no choice there. I do believe I have a pirate hat lying around somewheres so the photo Op would be still on
  9. No, I believe they can just be turned around and offset on the far side.
  10. On the !X optic usefullness, it depends on your viewpoint of offset sights, if you believe bateries can die and you need to have something available to sight with in a hurry , offsets seem to fulfill that role. If they are viewed as purely for close up work, then yes a higher - even Fixed - mag scope might be a better compliment
  11. Currently the Barska 1-4x28 IR Riflescope is leading the pack Here's the offset sights I will probably get http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009EVIXLY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3CJ9G8HQZVZBJ P.s. I already splurged on the ARs so untill the wallet heals up - not anytime soon, cheap it will have to be
  12. Myself & the wife picked up a pair of Stag model 3's friday with no sights. I have been looking at the below sights as a cheap way to kit them out with optics. My only real requirement would be that the rifle has a minimal setup if i need to use for 3 gun or tactical courses. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AU68V46/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019SS8CE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER I also plan to put a cheap set of offset iron sights on it as well. I would welcome some constructive input on the above optics .
  13. I sleep with one eye open so no one is bobit'ing anything
  14. Low profile levers for the PX4 G are indispensible , the regular levers are just meat hooks for catching your hand on
  15. Yes, its legal as long as it has only a 15 round mag , the +1 in the chamber is not counted
  16. I have the SP-01 tactical in 40 and one in 9mm I am looking to pick up this weekend. All steel, night sights, decocker and FLDC. My 40 shoots real smooth. Since october first, with the new weight limit increase for production , you are good to go with the SP-01 in IDPA The 9 mm will become my IDPA gun .. wow a gun specifically for competition, I musta passed some kind of threshold. When decocked, its in 1/4 cock so its a smidge less than full DA but yes its DA/SA
  17. SO I have good news on 2 fronts. 1) I am having the gun + mags sent to my FFL and they will pin the 2 magazines. 2) Turns out that RTSP has 16 round CZ75B mags already pinned to 15 and ready for sale @ $39 each. Its expensive but better than paying that much for 10 rd mags from CZ/Midway
  18. The 10 rounders cost a fortune , much more than the 16 rounders. I do see posts that the CZ promags fit the baby eagle So curious if the baby eagle mags fits the CZ75 - you'd think so. so gun comes with 2 mags and lets say FFL will pin them, its not enough mags. So Will a online store let you buy the 16 rounder mags and ship them to an FFL - anyone ever done this ?
  19. But who in North Jersey will pin the mags ?
  20. I managed to get a new CZ SP-01 Tactical in 9mm on GB this week at a great price but it has 18 rd mags. Where could i get the mags shipped to to have them made legal ? or is there no real financially reasonable way to take possession of them. I see cdnn has 15 rd mags for 17.99 a piece http://www.cdnninvestments.com/cz9mm15blstp.html What are the options ? Irish Pete
