  1. CNJFO's Theresa Inacker interviewed Derek while he was making deliveries & she broke the story. The Truth About Guns wrote to her & asked to run it. It has gone viral since. For my part, I added some "polish" in the editing phase and selected the image used of the ammo pile off of the store's Facebook page. Over 77,000 reached & 540 shares worldwide. And climbing. For those that aren't yet a member, or perhaps your membership lapsed, please help us by joining: https://www.cnjfo.com/join-us Thanks! Rosey, VP Black Wire Media Editor in-Chief Published by David Rosenthal · March 23 at 2:09 PM · The New Uber Ammo? NJ FFL DELIVERS AMMO! DIRECT TO YOUR DOOR DELIVERY STARTS TODAY! by Theresa Inacker for Black Wire Media Mon. Mar. 23, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us CNJFO sponsor Derek Pitera, President of SC Arms of Spotswood, New Jersey, FFL licensed and insured firearms dealer, is meeting the needs of the Second Amendment community in New Jersey by delivering ammo to the doorstep! In a telephone interview this afternoon with CNJFO, Pitera stated that he researched ways to keep his business open, so that he can continue to provide for his family. This new business approach keeps business flowing and meets the ammunition needs of the Second Amendment community. After researching the limitations of Governor Phil Murphy’s Executive Order 107, Pitera determined that deliveries and online orders are permitted, even though brick and mortar stores are to remain closed. If someone is purchasing handgun ammunition, they must provide a driver’s license and a NJ FID firearms purchase ID card, as required per law. Pitera verifies and logs the information though the truck window, making no person-to-person contact in this time of social distancing. HOW TO ORDER AMMO: Call the store number 732-425-4996. Pitera stated that while he has excellent contacts with the ammunition industry, there are LIMITED QUANTITIES at this time. Your needs and availability can be discussed when you contact the store landline, 732-425-4996, now forwarded to his cell. EDITOR's NOTE: We like seeing pushback to the UNCONSTITUTIONAL laws and current shutdown scheme we're all subjected to. If we learn of any other FFL's offering this type of service, we'll be certain to pass it along to our readers.
  2. @Cemeterys Gun Blob This is too funny! Yes, I enjoy all types & kinds of shooting, and Black Powder does indeed put a smile on my kisser just this the chap in the lower right corner! @PeteF you guessed well! I'm one of two people I know in all of NJ that hunt pheasants with a muzzleloader There's probably less than a handful of us! Yes some flintlock shooters & percussion shooters harvest deer with theirs, but it takes a special kind of NUTJOB to hunt flyin' chickens with a muzzleloader, lol! Thanks for thinkin' of me Blob & thanks for the tag PeteF! Rosey
  3. First Rule of Fight Club: DON'T TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!!! Troll much? ~R
  4. Kettle callin' the skillet black, eh, lol?
  5. There's two kinds of gun owners in NJ: Those that pour EXPLOSIVES & those that rely on NICS checks
  6. Welp, I guess today is the day to wipe my monitor, lol! Around here you call sumbuddy a "DP" & you're in a fight, lol! 3 1/2 weeks to BACON collection!
  7. ^^^THIS^^^^ Thanks for the detective work. I'm a little too busy with what I have on my plate to chase leads like this. It's nice that we look out for each other! Thanks again & ttyl! Rosey
  8. I'm getting a headache just reading this thread. The totality of the wasted time & energy is monumental. I'm beginning to think TROLL. Hair-splitting has risen to a new height, and unquenched "show me" idealism is running the asylum. Anyone that thinks you're not guilty until proven innocent should look up the quote from the Superior Court Judge that warned we all own guns at our own peril. Good night Nurse! ~R
  9. @DonkeyPunch WHOA NELLIE! You're from Dreamland & have a lot to grasp. Where you come from (where is THAT, exactly?) things are much simpler. The laws are written WITH the USCON in mind. Here in Joisey, ALL firearms are inherently ILLEGAL (they start-out that way!), and therefore exist in the hands of us serfs only through the use of EXCEPTIONS & EXEMPTIONS as stipulated in the 2C Firearms Statutes and case law. The answer @DirtyDigz gave you is 10,000% CORRECT! You sir owe him an apology and need to do some serious homework! I'm considered an authority on this subject, am well-known throughout the NJ 2nd Amendment community, and as the Vice President of the busiest 2A group in NJ, have appeared too many times to mention at various venues up & down the state. I lecture on this subject, as it's my WHEELHOUSE! I have 48 years of experience behind the trigger, am a former Trustee of my local R&P club, I'm currently a Match Director of a hand gun league (Police Practical Competition---PPC), shoot action leagues competitively, etc., etc., etc. To just skim the surface of what I & most of the NJGF elders know, suggest you visit https://www.cnjfo.com/news and https://www.JustifiableNeed.com . A NJ Judge was already DISBARRED for the way in which he oversaw a trial, refused attempts by the Defense Counsel to enter the aforementioned EXEMPTIONS INTO EVIDENCE, and the way he charged the Jury! The case was Brian Aitken's. Aitken wrote a book entitled, "Blue Tent Sky". There's a GOLDMINE of 2A reality in there that every NJ gun owner should READ! This video is about 14 months old. A friend of mine drove almost 3 hours to get there to do it. I & a few other #2AHeavyLifters have been invited back for March 26th and they rented a hotel meeting room for the event. @DonkeyPunch Suggest you do some homework so you truly grasp what it is to be a NJ gun owner in the Communist People's Republic of New Jerseystan! 10. WE GOT 3 SPOTS LEFT FOR OUR LAST HUNT OF THE SEASON! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC; ANY WEAPON CAN BE USED SO ML IS FINE! REGISTER HERE: https://www.cnjfo.com/event-3676112
  11. @W2MC I remember that from last year when we shot together at Lehigh Sporting Clays. Those Rio's were high speed 7 1/2's, leaving the muzzle at 1290 fps. Real clay-crushers! I used those in my gun (CZ Ringneck SxS) & swapped-out some low brass I'd brought that day, saving the low brass for teachin' kids to shoot. One of the MANY ways you've helped https://www.cnjfo.com these past several years! Not every .22 cal feed ramp is made to function-fire every cartridge. Newer guns that weren't cleaned prior to first use are another problem, as packing grease mixes with powder residue & turns into CEMENT, causing all sorts of feeding issues Nice seeing you on Saturday! ~R
  12. DONATION WAS RECEIVED YESTERDAY WHILE I WAS RUNNING A 30-PERSON PHEASANT HUNT! So this is 100% legit on the part of @Bklynracer! Thanks again and next time I'll be sure to try to post this on our Facebook page! It's a truly unique way to support 2A! Thanks again @bhunted & enjoy the read! Rosey https://www.cnjfo.com/news for all the latest, including the sniper on the roof story from Speaker Pelosi's appearance in Blackwood, NJ. HAVE YOU CHECKED CNJFO TODAY?
  13. @W2MC I have a CZ RingNeck in 20 ga. The Ringneck is discontinued, and they now call it a Sharp-Tail. I'm bringing the CZ as a back-up for my Pedersoli 10 ga. percussion SxS muzzleloader! Just got the possibles bag all set last night. Today I was stuffin' the goody bags. We got a sell-out: 30 pheasant hunters for Saturday. It's gonna be a real BLAST & Emily Cutts is joining us! ~R
  14. ^^^^Thanks so much for your continued support & encouragement! John Petrolino joined our Executive Committee a while back and he's been very active establishing a web page for every story we post from Black Wire media, CNJFO's media arm. The story I wrote yesterday is seen here: https://www.cnjfo.com/news/8769692 . The "Black Wire Blog", with every story we publish to Facebook can be seen here. It's worth checking each day to see the latest news & views on 2A happenings in NJ! https://www.cnjfo.com/news Here's a teaser: 16 year old HS Junior & USPSA Grand Master steel competition shooter Emily Cutts addressing the council Monday night. For all 8 images you have to visit CNJFO's Facebook page: Enjoy! Rosey
  15. They run a couple ladies days a year. I checked their Facebook page & no NRA Women on Target listed. I did find this though, and Lori is my contact there (her ph # is in image). They're promoting "Quarry Belles" womens league since December last year: Go spoil yourself at Lehigh. You'll be glad you did! Rosey
  16. CNJFO has been running our Sporting Clays Fundraisers there for years. We know the owner & managers. A first-class operation. You can land in your private Helo and shoot there. Grumpy's Cantina & BBQ is fall-off-the-bone deliciousness. A must-stop!
  17. This is really cool. Thanks so much for all you do! Rosey
  18. Glad the NJGF crew had a nice time. I ALMOST made it there myself yesterday. But I had a dinner meeting in Bordentown to be at as well as chores at home, so....they'll be another time!
  19. Good, glad to hear it! It's great when they "get it", and work WITH you & AGAINST their fear so as to make that light bulb shine bright ain't it?
  20. ^^^^THIS^^^^ And when God doled-out cross-eyed dominance, almost every woman saw a red Target "SALE" rack & jumped at the chance to buy a $50 blouse for $10! Meaning women have a higher likelihood of having to overcome this dreaded condition than their male counterparts. Good Instructors always check for this, especially if a woman complains "they tried shooting and can't hit the broad side of a barn"! Women aren't afraid to say they have troubles they need to overcome. It's part of why they do so well when the light bulb "gets lit". Macho guys ON THE OTHER HAND will blame the gun, THE SIGHTS, the ammo, the lighting, EVERYTHING except THEMSELVES. And just for the record, my bride of almost 37 years can go to Kohl's with a 30% discount coupon & her Kohl's charge card, hit those SALE racks and come home with $300 bucks' worth of new wardrobe for under $50! She can SHOOT too....
  21. @Mrs. Peel In addition to what's already been said, I'll also add that NRA B.I.T. is a great starting point on the pathway to becoming a certified RSO (Range Safety Officer). Old Bridge R&P holds NRA RSO certification classes from time-to-time, and we employ volunteer RSO's to "scan" the indoor & especially the outdoor ranges we own to make sure everyone is safe & following the club rules during "open shooting" by conducting unscheduled "spot-checks". Chief Range Safety Officers (the next level of RSO) like myself are empowered by the NRA to hold RSO certification classes, so being a NRA "TC" (Training Counselor) isn't required to run a RSO class to certify RSO's. TC certification requires earning NRA Instructor ratings in a vast majority (all?) of the NRA shooting classes offered, and is generally the pathway to starting your own training business. As far as discipline-specific training goes, I have friends like @Mr.Stu that are league discipline chairs (like myself---I'm OBR&PC's Police Practical Competition league Match Director) and assistants at their respective clubs that have earned IDPA & USPSA Instructor & Safety Officer ratings through national organizations that conduct discipline-specific matches at local, state-wide, regional and national match venues. These instructor ratings also teach "how to play the game" within the games' rules, and not just which way to grip, draw a loaded sidearm from a holster & point the firearms. Things like minimum safe distances to engage steel plates, heights on berms so no slugs escape entrapment, and "cone of fire" are reinforced. Teaching & mentoring at this point in my shooting career are what keep me going. As I type this my home club is running 2-3 different league matches simultaneously this morning! Mentoring others is a pure joy and I love it so! Mentors never finish learning, often loan equipment & ammo to friends & strangers alike, and promote good will at every range they visit. In my shooting career I've enjoyed being mentored by some famous (JJ Racaza of Top Shot & others) & not-so-famous shooters at league matches I've attended these past several decades. These Mentors of mine (including Stu) molded me into what I am today! ~R
  22. @Zeke it's mostly all been said, so I'll just reinforce what has worked for me: @High Exposure's lesson plan with a 4" tubed .38 spl & wad cutters. Double ears, especially if inside next to center fire rifles. The noise of others can be very distracting. Starting with a revo to build confidence & eliminate mashing a safe action trigger will go a long way. So will using a heavier metal hand gun. Ladies Day at Old Bridge always surprises the male instructors. Those oft-times Newbie women gravitate to full-size 1911's enjoying a crisp singe-action trigger & a Hi-vis front sight to knock down or ring steel My friend Kim Snyder, a retired Pennington Cop, is a qualified Expert & works at TTC as a RSO (is that where you're going?). Sometimes women instructors have better luck with harder cases like this seems to be, taking less time & ammo to get results. Good luck & remember no matter the outcome, keep it FUN so she wants to LEARN ~R
  23. And with all that personality & brains to boot, without a doubt, no matter the quote, worth every penny! Just don't answer the door with the steak knife. The poor bastard may drop the case of ammo! Good night all! ~R
  24. LOL, well if someone shows up tonight (Valentine's Night) with a case of free ammo, a box of candy & a single red rose what's a girl gonna do?? A: Cook breakfast
