  1. THanks for the info. Now that we are talking about it, i remember a thread last year about how it used to be a very small private club, but now they have lots of new members and it gets busy at times. Im assuming not too busy tho if you never really have to wait... Are there plans to make the range longer at any point in time, has it ever been discussed to your knowledge? I also prefer shooting outside, I actually hate indoors... I think I have shot inside one or two times since joining Range 14 about 3 years ago...
  2. Wonder how long the waiting list is. I would love to join here instead of R14, its like 10 mins from my house... I just wish it was longer than 100 yards. Im pretty sure I hear this from my home from time to time. Can anyone else that shoots there comment on how busy it is at certain times? Is there usually a wait to shoot? Only outdoors it seems, so is it closed during the winter?
  3. link is for 100 rd boxes for $6.99, with a 1 box limit. Remington Golden
  4. Im just like most others here, HD pistol in a locked box in the night stand to keep out little hands, the rest are in the safe...
  5. Nice, I shot a Mac10 in PA a few years ago, I posted a GIF of it here somewhere. That thing was really cool. It was actually owned by someone I met up with there (from reddit/guns)
  6. Remember, you can get a portable genny with a nat gas conversion. Thats what I did and plan on getting the conversion at some point. FOr now at least i have a backup power source if needed. We didnt have the money to do a whole house nat gas genny at the time... We also have about 10 cases of bottled water which I keep dated and rotate. I do believe we need more food in the home tho. We buy lots of cans and peanut butter and stuff, but tend to use them and not replenish appropriately.. Also remember to date your items so you can rotate them and know how old the stuff is. I also agree with having cash. THink about it, most of our money is digital or "on paper". We rarely have all of the money showing on our bank statement in hand, so if anything happens with our electronic banking system (EMP?) we are all screwed as the only ones that will have money are people that had cash and the banks in their vaults! Even in a more realistic scenerio, such as the power being out, tons of store will only accept cash and the ATMs/CC POS systems will not be working...
  7. I thought water world was good, tho i was young when I saw it, and we got to see that chicks ass, maybe thats why lol. Saw Half Baked when i was young and stupid too, thought it was pretty funny. There are certainly worse out there! Ill come back after I put a little thought into this. We usually only pay to go to the movies if the reviews were pretty good...
  8. Thats really cool. My daughter will be 6 this month, i want to take her soon. I think 6 is too young at R14 right?
  9. Just to point out with the PPS incase you were still considering, the mag release is in an odd place, I personally liked the gun but wouldnt carry it b/.c of that.. OP, i see you shoot at Range 14, you can try out my Shield if you want...
  10. you only applied for one permit!?! Sucks dude. Good luck!
  11. Solo Bella is up there on my list, always good food there! Lubrano's in wall on 34 is a good spot as well! There is one on rt166 in toms river as well, cant remember the name, went there for my buddy's groomsman dinner, very good. I actually used to manage a valet company that parked for a good amount of the places that were named here, but i didnt eat at very many and most of the owners never paid their debt to the company....
  12. Used to play counter strike back in the day lol. Been playing a lot of sim city lately and just borrowed The Last of Us but that's for ps3...
  13. Another shield vote here. I have one in 9mm... If you are still undecided you can shoot mine next time I go.
  14. ^ so what happens when you want a home? buying that cash too? Having credit and using credits IS NOT a bad thing, you just have to be responsible with it. I built my credit starting from day one at 18 years old, using credit and paying stuff off right away gave me a pretty good credit history even at a young age...
  15. you ARE NOT good to go in PA anymore! Edit: NM i see you have a GA CCW, i think you are still good with that...
  16. cant see this vid here (@work) but there is a youtube vid of a young boy playing an old metalica song on a beautiful sounding set (double bass and all) and the kid was unreal. I play and my 5 year old daught bangs on them, and she was so amazed that someone her age could play so well, its crazy. I couldnt imagine my daughter playing like that!
  17. Might just be a little tight esp with a full mag. Take it out a few times. Mine may have done it a little at first as well.
  18. This was brass PMC .223 Didnt realize that you "shouldnt" load on a closed bolt. From now on, ill store it with the bolt open... Just never had this issue before, the 3 or 4 other times i took it to the range i always loaded it with the bolt closed using the CH and never had an issue. Obviously there is something that is causing the issue that wasnt there before...
  19. Agreed, just nice to use the smith if you dont have a spotter. Using barbells/free weights is def the best... you are using all of those support/stabilizer muscles...
  20. Yes, 15 rounds. This happened with a A&A Metal mag. I have 2 but dont have them labled so im not sure if it was 1 mag or both.. I also have 15/20 Pmags, ill have to give them a try next time as well. Just trying to figure out if this is typically a mag issue or something else..
