    NH

So my buddy moved to NH Closed on the house Friday Got his NH drivers license on Monday Applied for a concealed carry for him and his wife Monday Following Monday he had the permit They did not even contact his references Which is a joke anyway, like you are going to give someone as. a reference that is going to say bad things about you Oh one more thing, he's picking up a "man's" model AR with plenty of evil features
  2. So it looks like you don't have to register until January 2014. So I'm going to take my "evil" guns to my summer home and use them at the local range this year. I can't seem to find any info as to how that is going to impact me next year. Looks like the registration form if for residents. Not that I would be stupid enough to register. So I guess it's going to be the same scenario as pistols? In other words a no go zone for non-residents.
  3. I'm off to NH with my son next week. Taking some dual sport motorcycles and going trail riding in NH and Maine. Going to our property near the Canadian border in NY State first. Have to leave our "evil" guns behind since I don't have a clue as to how that works with non-residents. But will have plenty of "good" guns to make some noise on the 4th of July at the local range. Stinks that they raised their yearly dues to $30 per family. :-)) Despite everything life is still good. Best country in the world.
  4. happens all the time You should have been an 83 year old woman living alone in the Bronx in the 70's Left all alone with the kids living where you guys live. Woman was very lucky that nothing else was done to her or her child.
  5. Loaded up the truck last night and is on his way. Had enough of NJ and our gun laws. I have two pieces of property in NY. One has a house on it. It's in the Adirondacks. I thought I had it made, I thought I was free as a bird up there. Now I can't bring my evil black guns up there. In four years when my son finishes collage and I get closer to retirement I'm off to NH. Hope it stays a free state until I die.
  6. I left Eastern Europe when I was less than 9 years old and went back many times when in my late teens and early 20's. Traveled all over the place and never appreciated the lack of privacy nor the security of the Communist countries. That is why I moved here. Little did I know that this shit would follow me here. Really sad. But on the positive side I'm pushing 60 and still might die as a free man.
  7. Took a drive out there with my son. We bought 2 boxes of the Federal 22lr. Made sure to get that the moment we got into the store. There were 8 boxes. We took 2 and after being in the store another 5 minutes the other boxes were gone. They had Remington 22s on the shelf. Some guy bought some 7.62. They had 223 in bags of 50 for $39.99, went down to $37.99 if you bought a few bags. The limit was 3 bags I think. Pretty good selection of other ammo. The shelves were not empty. Pretty good selection on guns. Many AR types. Some AK types. Quite a few Bushmasters, some SW and a Sig. Seems like nice place. Was sold the ammo by a pretty young lady that smiled when she took my money. Quite a difference from the grumpy old men we have behind the counters in NJ. My son says that the guys in NJ are paid by the government to make your shopping experience a pain in the ass so you will not want to purchase any guns or ammo. Took the ammo to some NY property that I have and shot off 525 rounds. So all in all it was a good day.
  8. Don't know if I can bring my Stag Arms into NY under the current law. Do know that my 10 round mags are ok but that I can only load 7 rounds. So that takes care of the guns. I work in NYC, can I bring in my 16 oz cup or do I have to pin it somehow? If I get a 16 oz sugary soda in NJ and accidently take it into NYC is that a federal violation? Not to get paranoid but are there other laws that I don't know about. Is there are limit on how many pieces of toilet paper that I can use? Will they limit how many rolls you can buy?
  9. If I miss my exit on 287 coming back from the range I'm in NY State and a criminal.
  10. what happens if your permit expires in 3 days and the check will take 10 days?
  11. Don't forget to take the bullets out.
  12. dream on all gone there is no ammo out there it's the government playing with our minds :-))
  13. 7 rounds of each, I have property in NY State and have not pinned my mags yet and am very bad at math so I don't want to take a chance and put in more than 7 rounds into my mags
  14. the stuff that shows being in stock is flagged as out of stock when you try to add it to the cart
  15. 30 day trial expired on my new laptop so I unloaded the sucker. Now the computer flies when I access this forum. Before there were delays of about 3 seconds when I accessed this forum. Same thing happened on a few other gun related sites. So was the antivirus being extra cautious and making sure that none of the guns that I was looking at were loaded of was it uploading my browsing history to the government? :-))
  16. I have the Ruger MKIII 22/45. It eats up everything. Remington golden bullets foul it up and you have to clean it more if you use those. The taking apart can be a pain. But some fine emery cloth and a little patience goes a long way. Now it comes apart without a problem but at first I felt like throwing it against the wall.
  17. this looks good, tube is nice an thin hi viz is .08 and this is only .04 but does not have replacement tubes
  18. I was thinking about doing something like that also. They sell glow in the dark paint in small bottles.
  19. Going to join an indoor range and the old eyes are not what they used to be. Read some reviews on the Hi Viz and some say that the tube is really thick so it's hard to do any precise shooting. Any comments or recommendations.
  20. no problem. I sent this to the Bergen Record and am holding my breath :-))
  21. It's an emotional yet simple matter. Government is nothing but an intrusive and nosy neighbor who happens to have the power of the gun behind it. It can not leave well alone. It can not tolerate an armed population. Throughout history this has always been so. There can be no parity between the government and it's citizens when it comes to arms. That would make us their equal and they will not tolerate that. They will give us everything but our arms. Because they are smart enough to understand that if they take away our arms they can give and take everything else as they please. A little more bread, a little less sugary soda, a little more circus, a little less freedom of assembly, a little more pornography and a little less real freedom of speech. We have lost many of our freedoms already without putting up any resistance. We take off our shoes at the airports. The police ask to search our vehicles as a matter of routine at simple traffic stops and we consent. We give away many of our rights so the government can "save us". The big question is from what? Our politicians say that semi automatic "assault" rifles are weapons of war and should be kept out of the hands of civilians. Yet some towns have and others are getting fully automatic "assault" rifles. These towns are obviously preparing to go to war with someone. I dread to thing with whom? I was born in Poland and have different perspective of history. I traveled for almost one year all over Eastern and Western Europe in a two cylinder Fiat in the late 70's. I have seen the Berlin wall from both sides. I can not describe the emotions. It pained and saddened me what I saw there and it saddens me even more what I am seeing here now. After WWII when Poland was "liberated" the population was made to turn in any arms, that they had used against the Germans. Many people did not turn in their arms. The father would bury a gun and tell his first born where it was buried. Sad to say that is time to do that here. May God help us all.
  22. I'm not going to take anything in at the moment until the dust settles. Just my trusty Marlin bolt action and a few shotguns.
  23. So how does it work. I have two properties in NY state. Stinks that I can't bring my pistols there. How will it work with my "assault" rifles and 10 round magazines. I assume that I have to get 7 round magazines. Can I still bring in my "assault" rifle if I am a NJ resident? Does the 7 round apply to my "evil" .22? At this point I'm going to probably sell my seasonal home and another piece of property I own in NY state. Was seriously thinking of retiring in NY state but at this point I don't see that as an option. Stinks.
