  1. They combined NJ, MD, and sprinkled in a little CA laws and shoved it up our a$$ in DE they also, which wasn’t mentioned in that article, passed starting up a P.O.C. process like NJ nics so instead of them just running the fed background where I get a truly “instant” response of 7-13 seconds from submission it’ll be some intentional bogging down of the process by a biased state employee and days or weeks as a means to throttle back sales of the things not banned like NJ … also the “grandfathering” has a couple cute caveats that they didn’t mention in that article… in regards to the ar/aks….“the burden of proof lies on the individual to prove he legally possessed the military style assault kid, unborn baby, kitten, puppy killing banned weapon prior to enactment of the legislation to avoid felony prosecution” so a person that has purchased items for 25+years, moved multiple times, realizing all sales are final, and really didn’t see a need to keep a receipt that fades to blank paper for their wife to “see” is now screwed… in regards to the “grandfathering” of greater than 17 round mags… it’s is only for Delaware concealed carry holders… and the exemptions are for active LE/Mil not retired/separated in good standing/prior service or anyone else that is in a weapon carrying position but not a “sworn law enforcement officer” etc… so those that didn’t “need” a cc permit prior and did t have one are screwed… and while de does issue more than nj…. It’s all dependent on the persons county prothonotary and superior court judge discretion… I’ve know a a large number of people that were denied for nonsensical reasons not to mention that being they tied this to a permit received from a questionable approval process it didn’t receive as strong an opposition because all the current permit holders felt … “well it’s messed up but I’m ok so I’m not that worried” however in a “may issue” state it’s not not a far stretch to envision that there are new more stringent guidelines for issuance that are more inline with NJ “may issue” and the when current permit holder attempt to renew they will not be reissued….it’s already being pushed in the back rooms of the DE house/senate that there are too many people with permits….so I can see that in the future as well DE was always a weird situation… Democrat controlled but not on gun control bs….. I guess with all the NJ/NY/MD people migrating here fleeing taxes etc they brought their liberal bs and now we are NJ west lol
  2. Absolutely..glad it worked out for you! That’s how I felt taking a Dremel to the actual slide of a 2 hour possession but it was the only way to get an adjustable brightness rds mounted without the crazy high rmrcc plate
  3. They are probably waiting for team Brandon’s anti American appointment to robe up so they can have the vote they want…to not hear it.
  4. This exemplifies the stupidity of the left wing nut jobs…..the stupid hurts! If a prohibited person “buys a gun from a private sale” doing so while prohibited is a criminal charge…but to then carry it concealed is another charge ….not “legally carrying a hidden loaded weapon in our communities” “This legislation will potentially allow individuals with a criminal history who purchase a gun through a private sale to legally carry a hidden, loaded weapon in our communities," said state Rep. Kimberly Alexander, a Democrat, according to the report.
  5. Sounds like a similar modification that’s required to put a 507 on a hellcat pro…had to grind off the rear 2 posts and take some off the height of the 2 front to get it to sit flat….that looks like what I had before I took material off the front 2 posts
  6. While I completely agree with you … I see no reference of weight in 2C:39-1 definitions just the “smaller than 3/8”” and “any solid projectable ball, slug, pellet, missile or bullet” both of which airsoft pellets are….and while it’s nonsensical I am pretty sure there was a thread on here a few years back where someone/or their kids were playing with airsoft and had le interaction as a result. im not arguing the logic or merit of the law .. just that by the letter of the law it seems to not be “legal”. While there are plenty of people that very well may still have >10 and no one knows anyone that’s been charged that’s not a justifiable defense should the right circumstances align for one to find themselves being charged.
  7. Ok sorry I though that was the case based on 2C:39-1F
  8. Doesn’t nj classify air soft the same as BB guns?…and an air soft pistol need to be on a pistol permit? (By the letter of the law) 2C:39-1 Definitions: f. "Firearm" means any handgun, rifle, shotgun, machine gun, automatic or semi-automatic rifle, or any gun, device or instrument in the nature of a weapon from which may be fired or ejected any solid projectable ball, slug, pellet, missile or bullet, or any gas, vapor or other noxious thing, by means of a cartridge or shell or by the action of an explosive or the igniting of flammable or explosive substances. It shall also include, without limitation, any firearm which is in the nature of an air gun, spring gun or pistol or other weapon of a similar nature in which the propelling force is a spring, elastic band, carbon dioxide, compressed or other gas or vapor, air or compressed air, or is ignited by compressed air, and ejecting a bullet or missile smaller than three-eighths of an inch in diameter, with sufficient force to injure a person.
  9. It’s one of my pet peeves, there’s been an explosion in demand for training in the last 5-10 years…. And while there are no shortage of excellent real world verifiable options there is also the other side of the coin, the hustlers looking for easy money. I’ve come across some local ones (tri state area) using SLIGHTLY modified Special Operations patches as their business logo.. offering all types of “tactical” training, wearing bdu’s (they bought from a gun show) and barking like the DI’s at MCRD San Diego all the while they’ve never done any of it for real. not to say that every instructor for every discipline would need to be a door kicking operator, but if you did want that type of training you’d want that person instructing you not someone watching YouTube videos or may have taken a class from one of those people and trying to regurgitate what he can remember, and putting his own twist on it. And the line about “Christian integrity” seems really odd to me, in my experience it’s a red flag anytime someone has felt the need to push how honest/how much integrity they have most times it’s a guilty conscience….actions speak than words…. “I’m Christian” is additionally trying to validate themselves/get the identity enrollment.. just odd to me My personal opinion…much like I wouldnt be seeking/following medical diagnosis/advice from a plumber, no way would I be taking ttp type training from someone not capable of giving you what they are selling. But as I mentioned … basic stuff like safety etc sure, required training for licenses etc sure…but if they venture into the “tactical”/legal side in those classes I’d ignore it as no info is better than bad info.
  10. I like to look at the “about me/us” of the trainers….discounting all the “nra certified instructor disciplines” bs…… the wording of the experience that would qualify them to teach anything aside how to safely handle a weapon seems rather odd…”my background includes training received from US military personnel from NAVSPECWAR, US Army SF, and Special Mission Units. Dedicated to providing solid grounding in the basics with Christian integrity.” The way I read that is he took classes by these individuals …taking a carbine class from a person who took a class from xxx …. Skip this guy go to xxx
  11. That is my point The title of the article the Op posted said Impersonating a police officer he never articulated he was a police officer he said he was a fire fighter on his way to fight a fire whether he was previously or not he no longer was therefore lying/impersonating a fire fighter New York or Miami or whatever
  12. Tedesco said he was employed by the Miami Fire Department and was on his way to a fire in the city, according to the sebastiandaily.comreport….. The deputy said he contacted the Miami FD and learned that Tedesco no longer worked for the department, having medically retired three years ago, the newspaper reported. Tedesco eventually admitted that he no longer was with the department, was headed to Miami to go fishing and lied because he was afraid, the deputy was quoted as saying.
  13. Maybe I need hooked on phonics, title says impersonating a police officer the story said he said he was a fireman which the sheriffs department verified he wasn’t just because he has a NYPD jacket and DEA hat in his car doesn’t mean he’s impersonating anyone…. I’m not sure about Florida but other parts of the country I’ve seen fire departments use both red and blue lights…They sell those hats and jackets all over lol…. As for the rifles in his car unless they were loaded and in the passenger compartment don’t see a problem up until the possession of marijuana…not driving 95 is more uncommon down here I’ve been in the north fl/ga area for the last several months and at 75-80 in a blacked out Tahoe it’s like im driving ms daisy with people blowing by me with 0 cares swerving in and out of traffic like idiots daddy will no doubt make it all or nearly all go away. Lower level hunter Biden lol
  14. Even after all the hoops you’ve already been through the bs doesn’t end….but you are on the home stretch to firearm ownership in nj lol
  15. Lol nothing about the draconian, rights infringing nj process is “relatively simple”…..other than a handful of other dictator like states …….in the rest of the country it truly is a simple process…no nonsensical cards or permits to purchase to procure with months of prep work….stop in a gun shop see something that catches your eye…. Fill out the 4473 and in less time than it takes to fill out the form get the nics proceed… pay and leave with your purchase less than 10 mins from “I’ll take it” to walking out the door.
  16. Thank you again sir! pleasure meeting you positive feedback left
  17. Perhaps he has family/ friends here, wants to purchase from a private nj party and do a third party transfer….as an aside he’d need one to purchase Ammo if he came back for a weekend range trip and ran dry on Ammo and wanted to voluntarily have his purchased logged into “ the book” for later scrutiny by authorities lol
  18. The bigger question (rhetorical) is why can’t a non nj resident with his home state drivers license purchase a long gun in nj….. like other states…. Without having to go suck njsp balls begging permission jumping through hoops and waiting months for the nonsense card not required in their state. Only people truly impacted is the nj business that lost the revenue.
  19. “How can nj?” …..how can they do all the bs they do? They do it and you take it….example you guys get excited and feel blessed when it only takes 3 days for your 4473 to go through….45+ other states it’s seconds to get the proceed….. Perhaps you should read through the determination letters… by both the njsp firearms unit and atf…. Both reference sb tactical brace…. and say similarly “ the determination was based on the submitted models in their present configurations, if the design or dimensions change it may change the classification of the firearm” ….. taking off the brace is part of the design…. Go ahead and do it… then call the atf and ask them to make a house all to verify your recent modification is legal… let us know how that works out for you…. That is when you get computer time in the pen lmao you just like to argue on dead end invalid points
  20. Ok I’ll walk down that street With you… if the other/brace ban comes to fruition … what is the barrel length of an other? 10.5” - 12.5” …. Take off the brace and do what.. put on a stock? You have just build an unstamped sbr …not even an option in nj …… so take off the brace and vfg leave the buffer tube bare…you have an ar pistol not legal in nj have any other ar or stocks in your house/garage/property… constructive intent to build an sbr… take off the brace leave the vfg nj would call that an “illegal assault pistol”…not sure in other states …but would no doubt be found illegal as it would be considered an ar pistol with a vfg… Best hope would seem to me to be 16”barrel and stock swap making it a rifle for the poor souls trapped in nj that own a Troy “other” if it’s a built one…disassemble, get rid of the short barrel or pin one of those goofy long muzzle devices on and no one knows anything more than parts for future rifle builds
  21. They are excited at the thought of all the “others” gonna get turned in at the ban..they’ll be 2 for every cop in nj
