  1. Maybe not by carhartt, but what about glock? :unknw:
  2. Any you thought regulation by NJ was bad... She might take yer guns away before the state does! congrats
  3. me like the springfield (purely based on aesthetics) as I do not like the look of wood grips.
  4. I got mine 16 days from fingerprints... +1 for Manchester. Some of the ladies at records seem really nice. The Desk Sgt was very nice and promptly answered the call for fingerprinting. An overall pleasurable experience. (for New Jersey)
  5. That was fast.. I picked one up too.. can never have too much for a price like that.
  6. usn... you using hand-me-down scuba gear? Thats the equivalent to heading to afghanistan with a suit of armor
  7. orly? A thread you say? search bar here i come.
  8. Just tell her consider it as a dowry for the cost of marrying. Then either duck behind the couch or leave the structure as quickly as possible!
  9. Why must those avatars be so small = ) feel free to link a gallery recessed.. im an avid admirer of the female form coddling deadly armament
  10. Twitter uses that post regularly are either selling/promoting a product or story, or self involved people that like to hear themselves speak. However for all those that think it is useless, negative, and childish here is a good example of my twitter feed. I follow these other twitter accounts.. and rather searching multiple sites for these stories, they are condensed into my twitter feed. Most of their posts have short URL links to their story. So rather then searching 30 websites for new stories.. a good advertising site will post their new/interesting stories on their feed where I can navigate through them with ease. Its not as intrusive as you are led to believe, and yes the media does a great job at telling you the negatives, but this lies more in personality defects the end users have (marriage ending by cheating spouse, the spouse is inclined to cheat FB just acts as a medium) The media also has done a good job telling you all public workers are overpaid and have cushy contracts.. I can attest that I for one do not get handsomely rewarded for my job. Back to topic.. consider the positives of having news of all of your hobbies (shooting, fishing etc) filtered to one place where you can search stories from one source. I guarantee if you follow the users that fit your liking, you will enjoy it.
  11. I dont post.. but I do use it as a reference tool. I follow news agencies both for regular news and fire service news.. I follow tech industry accounts (gizmodo, android related) and have added a few gun related follows recently (NRA, hikock, gun news) for those that are anti trend, id at least swallow a bit of pride and try it out. Create an account and follow the people or organizations that interest you. Its like getting a ticker tape of news stories regarding topics of YOUR choosing. @Rmeyer923
  12. Manchester is a nice town.. Lower taxes in the OC by scale, more rural areas to find larger more secluded properties. Full day kindergarten. Moved from Old Bridge and have had no regrets since.
  13. Hmph... comments will be posted after approval.. Censorship crap. If youre willing to put your thoughts out there you better damn well be prepared for the counter argument
  14. Ive had it happen to me before too. Sucks..CC isnt that bad though. I had an employer who had his identity stolen... thief cleaned out his bank accounts TWICE (personal and business accnts).. even after he went on identity theft status the bank still issued the crook another bank card and depleted all of his funds... Here's another thing you should keep an eye on... I recently had my CC points stolen from me.. It makes sense.. most people dont think to check their CC points they accrue, so people come in electronically and transfer your points to an account in cash. I picked up on it a month later when I went to go cash in around $700 worth of points. Never woulda saw it coming.
  15. You can tell just by his product placement from the Glock hat and Carhart T's... He might be a fan of using glocks, but if hes not reviewing one he always reverts back to "its not a glock" type comment. = ) Then again ,if you were in his shoes wouldnt you? Make some money firing off guns in your back yard and reviewing them just as long as youre sporting their gear and dropping a line towards their products... Id love to see his gun vault = )
  16. +1 on going to a range to try some out.. Not sure where you are located at but Shore Shot is a great place with a great staff. You can go there and theyll run you through the basics real quick and have at it. Start with a .22 and if you feel the recoil is tolerable, move on up to the 9mm and rent a few they got. Well worth the time and effort... I went there a while back and tried out 4-5 .40's until I found the one I wanted to buy. Its all about what you are comfortable firing... http://www.shoreshotpistolrange.com/ Looking further into it.. if you are looking to buy a gun for target practice a .22 isnt a bad deal..if you are looking for more a home defense.. 9mm and up is what you should be looking into.
  17. Agreed... Now this creates a problem.. I was deadset on the next .45 to be a 1911... but having a truly ambi 45 DA w/ safety is REALLY attractive to me. Hmmmmmm....
  18. I see a watered down version of the SOPA internet revolt if they were to try this. There's obviously more people invested in the censorship of the internet then the protection of personal gun ownership. Regardless one thing I have learned since hopping into the gun ownership arena, is that the growing number of people we do have supporting are cause, are a VERY vocal group. (the squeaky wheel will continue to get the grease)
  19. I know retailers have some really good prices when they go up on sale.. but for everyday purchase where would be a good place to pick up some .40 for range shooting? Online vs Store? any particular brands to stick to or stay away from? I stopped by Dicks today and all theyhad left in .40 flavor was a box of winchester 24 ct for $30... no thx Thank you for your input
