They are not magazines so they should be fine. I personally wouldn't hesitate to bring then loaded.

I ageee the 226 is much bigger than the 229. the M11A1 is basically a 229. It is very comfortable and well hidden in my alien gear holster. For 30 bucks you really can't beat that holster.

Moved to western NC last week. I carry my SA EMP 40 in a milt sparks VMII or my sig M11-A1 in an alien gear holster. If you guys are looking for a decent and cheap holster, try the alien gear. Hides the sig well and is pretty comfortable to carry at the 3-3:30 position.

I mean JMB did not design the 1911 with an external extractor for a reason. It is an inherently weak design and not as strong as the original intrenal extractor.

I just got to western NC on Saturday. Start my new job tomorrow. Its kinda weird being able to carry almost anywhere. But I think I'll get used to it soon enough. I encourage every one on this forum to take the plunge and get out of nj. Its just getting worst there and we can actually make a difference in the free states that aren't so hostile.

Glad you're ok. But this is why I stay away from external extractors on 1911s. The design was not meant for it.

how can a bear be a stray? if it is near by go away. i've run into a few bears while hiking and camping. just keep your distance talk loudly to it and leave the area/go inside. it should not act aggressive simply because it knows you're there. no need to kill something simply because it wandered on your property. but if aggression is shown then defend yourself any way you see fit. just remember you are responsible for every bullet that you fire, hit or miss.

i went. great time even though it was raining at times. party in the pits was fun. just a little disappointed that the riders only sign a few autographs at certain times and most of the time they gave out tickets but not where the times were advertised. good day overall.

the only thing the m11a1 has in common with a p228 is the grips. everything else comes from a 229 and made to look like a 228. not really a franken gun when you know whats in it. its still a sweet shooter and very reliable. i've got 500 rounds through mine had i haven't had a single malfunction even with the dreaded long external extractor. i trust it enough to carry and will do so.

what makes it better than an m11a1?

just get 15 round .458 mags and an upper... they hold 30 rounds of 5.56...

yea i work during the week. pretty much every day after 3:30 i'm free, so pick a day next week.

i bought an M11A1 like 2 months ago. i love it. the SRT is fantastic. my only complaints are: it doesn't have the E2 grips which i will add sometime soon and the mags are next to impossible to find and expensive as hell when i have found them.

i have a rail gun. its a pretty sweet shooter. mags are garbage tho and i haven't gotten around to buying any good ones yet so it remains a range toy.

i'm moving and have some odd-ball brass that i have no use for. it all came in the box of my reloading stuff when i bought it, so if anyone wants it just pm me. about 75-100 pieces of 38-55 about 75 pieces of 25-20 about 50 pieces of .222 rem about 50 pieces 25-06 if i find any more stuff ill update this post.
