Thanks everyone for the feedback. It's helped me in deciding to go mags on the support side. Now the question is, which holster? I'm leaning towards a white hat IWB for my sig and the M&P 9 I have waiting for me at the store.

I started in 1990 when I turned 18 I went shooting for the heck of with my neighbor. Days later I was applying for a FID and permits. I remember going religiously to Ray's on rte 22 every Saturday for hour for about a yr until that neighbor went away to college. Fast forward to 18 months ago I got back in to the sport and have been self taught by reading, watching videos and the occasional cool RO that would offer some hints and advise.

Here is mine from today. 21 shots of .45acp from my XDM 5.25. Distance was roughly 10 yards. I'm still learning but it think this is acceptable for just over 18 months of shooting.

What side do you carry your spare mag? Strong side or weak? While shopping for a holster lately I've seen "kits" that have the mag carrier on the same side of the holster. To me, that seems odd since it would require you to switch the firearm to the weak hand, drop the mag, reload and then switch back to strong hand... I would think that a separate holder carried on the weak side is better? Thanks for the help
