  1. I've never been impressed with them. My friend paid $275 for a six month membership. Not even allowed to bring his own ammo. He never renewed. I just think they are way overpriced and sometimes rude. I say sometimes b/c it depends on who you deal with in there.
  2. I would really like to have a gun that magically creates bullets as you shot it and it never runs out. Since that will never happen I guess I'll have to settle for the (2) Custom Springfield M1911-A1 Nicolas Cage has in Faceoff.
  3. Would you be open to a Glock 19? It's barrel is only .2 smaller, the gen 4 comes with 3 (15) round mags(Like M&P), 3 Interchange grips (M&P). Pretty much identical expect the grip angle and trigger. Any thoughts? Also if you can conceal carry, I can conceal my 23 pretty well have never tried it with a M&P. However the M&P 9 is on my short list.
  4. Did you try Pk90 at AnA? I believe last time I was in there I saw them when I was looking around.
  5. cool, figured even if it helped one person it was worth the post.
  6. Just found this article in my email this morning. I don't own one but I figure a few of the members might. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/forums/posts.aspx?postID=34451&utm_source=EmailDirect.com&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=20121005-Chronicle-Vol1Iss11+Campaign
  7. The state website says up to 60 days. It may be quicker now but I know a few people who were traveling out there and they just did the FL and/or UT b/c it was about the same wait time. http://www.azdps.gov/Services/Concealed_Weapons/Questions/#3
  8. Why not just get a Florida or Utah? Both cover Arizona and the classes are easier to find...
  9. Your town made you pay for the permits before you actually have them???? Not how it's done in my town.
  10. SJSC is tech Winslow but still only 5 mins from me. Only thing that I found when I went as a guest was waiting at the pistol range and having to agree upon a distance, not a big fan of that. And hague's is absolutely insane with their prices. For the most part good group of guys but just way out there in prices.
  11. I thought the same thing too but then I realized most people down in our neck of the woods refer to Monroe Twp simply as Williamstown.
  12. The only place that I've been in that practiced that procedure was Rayco. I don't believe they asked for my license though. Just my FID and left it on the counter where other stores just looked and gave it right back. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me but to each their own. But the store manager does seem rather ignorant in not providing the info you requested. The best thing about this situation and country is you can just simply go elsewhere.
  13. Love mine SR22. Also eats federal bulk pack 36gr hollowpoints like a champ. Hours of plicking for next to nothing. Only thing i found was mine doesn't like 32 gr game shock. just FYI. Hope you continue to enjoy it.
  14. I'm not following. I titled the thread "Traveling with a handgun to a hotel in NJ" b/c my buddy seems to think its legal to take a handgun from his house in NJ to a "semi hotel but I guess could be considered a house" in NJ. I don't see how that is completely different. He is traveling with a handgun to a hotel in NJ. I'm not trying to be rude I'm just seeing where you are coming from. Also there is no class or anything to be taken into account. He simply thinks it's okay to take a handgun from his home and bring it to the shore for the weekend. I don't believe that is allowed in travel laws.
  15. just email Assemblyman NELSON T. ALBANO about this. I'll post his response if I'm lucky enough to get one.
  16. I'd be lying if I said I knew for sure a lease was signed. It was a big house and there was like 20 people staying in it and the property was rented per person. I know I didn't have to sign a lease and I don't believe anyone else did. If this makes a difference in the situation
  17. So I got into a little debate with one of my buddies and I believe I'm right but not entirely sure. Here is the short story. Say there a guy who had his FID card and legally owns a handgun. He is traveling down the shore and renting a house for the weekend. Can he legally bring his handgun with him? Please keep in mind he lives in NJ and traveling to a NJ Shore town. I stated that per our travel laws he couldn't but I was going to find out. I looked through the gun laws and only really found that traveling to the range, gunsmith, FFL or competition would be okay for a NJ resident traveling. Am I missing something?
  18. 2C:58-15. Minor's access to a loaded firearm; penalty, conditions 1. a. A person who knows or reasonably should know that a minor is likely to gain access to a loaded firearm at a premises under the person's control commits a disorderly persons offense if a minor gains access to the firearm, unless the person: (1) Stores the firearm in a securely locked box or container; (2) Stores the firearm in a location which a reasonable person would believe to be secure; or (3) Secures the firearm with a trigger lock. b. This section shall not apply: (1) To activities authorized by section 14 of P.L.1979, c.179, (C.2C:58-6.1), concerning the lawful use of a firearm by a minor; or (2) Under circumstances where a minor obtained a firearm as a result of an unlawful entry by any person. c. As used in this act, "minor" means a person under the age of 16. 2C:58-19 Report of loss, theft of firearm within 36 hours; violations, penalties. 1. The legal owner of a firearm, upon discovering that the firearm is lost or stolen, shall report the loss or theft within 36 hours to the chief law enforcement officer of the municipality in which the loss or theft occurred or, if the municipality does not have a local police force, to the Superintendent of State Police. A person who violates the provisions of this section shall be liable to a civil penalty of not less than $500 for a first offense, and not less than $1,000 for any second or subsequent offense. The civil penalty shall be collected pursuant to the "Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999," P.L.1999, c.274 (C.2A:58-10 et seq.).
  19. From my understanding guns only need to be kept safe from minors. As far as if it were stolen i believe you have to report it within 36 hrs to your local police. But why not just lock it in a safe when you aren't home and take it out when you are home?
  20. I just bought a Nano and I don't have a ccw permit anywhere.... yet. I also carry on my property and I keep my gun on me when I'm just hanging around the house. Having something small just seems to be more comfortable.
  21. Welcome from the town next to you, Williamstown
  22. I have a ruger sr22. Love it. Probably over 1500 rounds through it and no problems minus trying to shoot anything under 36 grain. Had failure to eject with federal game shock which is 32 grain. I think pk90 has a walther p22 and a sr22 in stock along with other neat 22's
  23. Welcome, this is a great site with alot of info. Just finished my ar labor day weekend. Personal experience with AnA was great. PK90 was very helpful in answering questions. Hope you have fun building this.
  24. I know Cheyanne Outfitters in Robbinsville(right off 130) carries reloading material. Reloading isn't my thing but i did see supplies there today. Don't know exactly what they carry or how there prices are on it. Ammo prices aren't too bad but a little high compared to others. Hope this helped
