Well, I handed in my application and permit requests on November 13. Wishful thinking says that with the extra staff I can expect them to be ready by the end of the year. The realist in me says to expect them in the new year. I'm hoping sooner rather than later.

My wife and I took their Basic Pistol class and it was very informative and helpful. The instructors are very knowledgeable. The only thing that can be a drawback is that their "range" is located behind a bar lounge and it literally is a crawlspace with a backstop. Appearances aside, it was a good class. At $85 you can't go wrong.

Hey Pizza Bob, when I was a kid (8 years old) I was admitted for observation at a children's hospital in Hoboken. As far as I know, I was voluntarily committed by my mom and was released by her. No medication was ministered nor was a follow up needed. However, because this was 20 years ago the records have been purged. The diagnosis was that I have no psychiatric issues but that I was reacting to the circumstances of my home life. I had spoken to some of the lawyers from NJ2AS and they said that doing a psych evaluation would be good to do since I can't get a hold of those recorda . I have no mental health issues at all. I did speak to detectives Hourican and Donaway about this matter and they said that it shouldn't be an issue. However, David Jensen said that he wouldn't trust the legal advice of the local PD. So, prior to handing in everything, including the fingerprints, I did an evaluation with IFP. I'm just waiting on the results from IFP right now.

Is the BPD really that bad, Scott? I just did my fingerprints and a psych evaluation and now I feel like I've just wasted my time and money just to get denied by an anti-2As department...

I was there just the other week and they gave me a packet, including the form for my fingerprints, that needed to be filled out. The packet included the FID application, mental health form, and the consent forms. Strangely, although I had a typed out FID form, Det Donaway told me to fill out the copied FID form anyway.

Greetings all! I've been a long time lurker but finally joined. I'm in the process of getting my initial FID/P2P but I look forward to getting on the range with some of you fine folks once it's all clear. I just can't wait to get my hands on my own Sig Sauer. :-D
