  1. I agree with ReadDude the web site is, well a little goofy but I think it goes in the other direction that most place want to push.. alot of places go with that strait up academy type setting. This seems to be more laid back..the web site that is.. as far as membership goes its not manditory. If you dont want to be a member you can still come in off the street and shoot.... I know alot of places charge twice as much to join.... I happen to be a member of EFGA and at 35 bucks a year it cant be beat... but here again it dosent bother me to drive an hour and use a porta potty...lol some not so much...
  2. I think you guys will be pleasently surprized..... drove by and took a peek... nice.....BIG!!!!!!!
  3. Thank you High Exposure that is correct the Somerset County SWAT is commanded under the Prosecutors Office and is comprised of a multi juisdictional membership from surrounding towns they are highly trained and a great bunch of guys that put themselves in harms way to protect us... I have trained with they are all top notch....warfighters in the sandbox they are not. But they fight a diffrent war here in our own backyards... just be a tad bit greatful. After all this type of thing is happining more often and it getting closer to home..... mine and yours..... be safe all....
  4. Wow what a rough crowd.....lol... thats why I love this place... thats guys for all the input bad and good... as far as why. I just wanted to tinker with something diffrent and to see the diffrences myself. As far as weight goes the Syrac system is only a few ozs. More....For those who dont know Syrac Ord was started by a guy who headed the development of their piston kit and decided to go his own way...Ive used a few of their adjustable gas blocks and was very impressed... As far as piston for machine guns LOVE IT.. but not in this state.......at least not this lifetime...lol.as far as longevity and duribility goes I plan on putting this on my test mule rifle and run the living snot out of it.. If it dosent break down I will intergrate it into another build.... UGH always another build.....you guys know what Iam talking about.....lol anyhow thanks for all the input and keep the comments coming.
  5. 300 Blackout cant get enough......lol
  6. Howdy all.Iam looking into playing around with a gas piston conversion for one of my AR's. Iam looking at the Adams Arms low profile and the Syrac low profile. Iam leanng towards the Syrac kit due to it weight and low parts count. Not to mention that the Syrac kit will fit under most rails.. anyone here tinker with one of these? Pros / Cons ect....ect... thanks all.
  7. The ammo factory alone sells for 1100... bucks
  8. I just got a Hornady LnL to load blackout and iam very happy with it.. I reloaded years ago with a lee pro 1000 and this is far better... I will eventually upgrade with the bullet and case feeder but its pretty fast the way it is... anyhow if you can get it at a good price go for it.....
  9. Great glad it all worked out.... now GET OUT AND SHOOT.........
  10. King wouldnt show if you were cleaning guns. Hes very anti gun..... too bad My wifes a big King reader not anymore though......
  11. Got a Lantac on my Npap and seems to work really well. Of course thats 7.62 I would think it would perform the same in 5.56.... hey I still have that grip for you...lol
  12. Sure they can.... just as easy as looking up a DL/SOC/SBI/FBI #
  13. Try Cheyenne in Manville. 908-725-4307 he just sold on to a buddie of mine.....ask for Robert....
  14. Hey brother sorry to hear about your issues sounds like your running undergassed... as far as tbe Blackout goes Iam using a standard weight buffer ( Spikes ST-T1 amd a JP enhanced carbine spring ) the Blackout ia ment to be run with a standard mil spec BCG so I would leave that alone. Iam assuming your running unsuppressed/supersonic ammo through a 16 carbine gassed barrel that should be fine.first try a diffrent brand of ammo. Iam running a home brew that mimics the Remington 147 gr OTM and that works fine... if the ammo change dosent help I would slide down the gas block and check for obstructions in the gas block and the gas port.. I use some compressed air after a visual inspection with a good flashlight. There might be some machining crap stuck in their.. before you realign and assemble the gas block check your port size for unsuppressed/supersonic you should have a min. Of .099 dia.you can open it up to .104 without issues because you cant really over gas the 300... good luck I hope this helps.....
  15. Honestly next time I would save a few bucks and get a Tapco the Krebs was twice the cost of the Tapco...hell we could just make our own now by using it as a template..... now put that thing in their and go SHOOT......LOL. take care....
  16. MedVed11. That looks fine. I have a Krebs also and it didnt click in. As long as the fork is in the pi s grove you will be good to go. The only way it will fall out is if your selector pin falls out and iam sure you would notice that.....good luck..
  17. I agree with deerslayer and tropher get another set they look good on both of them......
  18. +One on the Little Crow trimmer. Works awesome on trimming down my 300 blackout brass in a drill press.....
