  1. If your saying probably over 1000 rounds you shouldn't have issues with worn parts. If you said 5,000 maybe. Sounds like it needs a good scrubbing. It's amazing how much junk works its way into some parts. Total strip, clean and lube sounds in order.
  2. As Old Dog said there is a NJ compliant model in 9MM. As far as finding one, good luck. They sell quick.
  3. Those old cap guns were the best. The ones today are just junk. I swear those paper role caps have half as much powder now compared to when we were kids. How about hitting them with a hammer.
  4. Not to be a downer but in PA if you don't posses a valid ccw they basically have the same exact rules as NJ. Such as to and from range. I'm not 100% sure on the deviation issue.
  5. I have used shells and 22 ammo that were 20 years old in the original box left on a garage shelf. No issues. If you see any signs of corrosion do not use the ammo. Worst part about using older ammo is if the price tag is still on the box.
  6. Browning makes a nice gun and if the price is right jump on it. From a previous post it sounds like this would be your first time on clays. If so a 12gauge might be easier to learn on. A 12gauge she'll holds more shot than a 20gauge does and will increase your chances of dusting that clay. If the price is right jump on that 20gauge for later and buy a cheap 12gauge to learn on.
  7. If he is matching the price it's a no brainer. Buy local. You know exactly what you are getting and if there is an issue with the gun it will be much easier dealing with a local guy.
  8. Side by side works fine but there are two factors to consider. How the gun is choked and how well you know the gun. If you are comfortable with the gun and know how it shoots you should have no problems for most of the shots there.
  9. Of coarse this would be "The Official" September meet up.
  10. This would also be the OFFICIAL meet up, correct?
  11. Put me down Drez. I will find out about John and let you know.
  12. Any of those Weekends work for me but Saturdays are better.
  13. As said before spend the time looking for the CZ. They are well worth the wait and effort.
  14. Had a check run on Monday. First call was a busy signal and call and check went through with out issue on the second attempt. I asked the FFL how NICS has been and he said Saturday is the only time they see a consistent issue. He said on Saturdays it is only optional that they work. There is normally a manager and two others running background checks. When they are overwhelmed that is when they go to the fax. Also he said there are more delayed checks being issued. He is seeing more first time purchasers being delayed as it takes time to find their info in the system.
  15. Cz makes excellent rifles. The newer ones have the accu trigger (I think that's what they call it) and they are absolutely sick. Very accurate.
  16. Jealous of you guys. Going to miss this one. Safe day for all!
  17. Do you have a bolt action? If you do burn it up in that. Should work fine in a bolt action.
  18. I have shot close to 5,000 rounds on the m-22. Used in various rifles and pistols up to 100 yards. No issues worth complaining about. If its a good price it's worth it.
  19. Contact fish and wildlife. They can issue a new hunters ed card for you. Surprisingly very quick and painless for the state of NJ
  20. What is the point on exploding targets anyway? Oh wait they are awesome. Time to go shopping.
  21. Done. This and ccw was the topic during the 7:00 hour. Would of posted but was driving. Large support for our cause.
