  1. "But the Maryland State Police's licensing division said it will continue enforcing the law until the federal court issues a mandate." "The challenged law restricts the ability of law-abiding adult citizens to possess handguns, and the state has not presented a historical analogue that justifies its restriction; indeed, it has seemingly admitted that it couldn’t find one," Judge Julius Richardson, a Trump appointee, wrote in the court's majority opinion." The court literally issued the mandate when they came down with their decision! There is NO reason to continue enforcing an these unconstitutional laws. As stated in the article, "Maryland officials have 14 days to file for a rehearing before the full appeals court. If the state does not file within that window, the court will issue a mandate seven days later, which means the final court ruling would be Dec. 11.", but as far as I'm aware the current ruling isn't overturned simply because a filing for a rehearing is made. If their refusal extends beyond Dec 11th then the head of that division should be held in contemp of court. Perhaps even the head of their State PD.
  2. More winning! Not getting tired of it yet! Maryland's Handgun Qualification License struck down. Among the requirements were "Getting that license requires, among other things, submitting fingerprints to undergo a background investigation and taking a four-hour-long firearms safety training course in which you must fire at least one live round." Sound familiar? Make New Jersey America Again!! Let's get copycat lawsuits going! https://www.foxnews.com/us/nra-praises-court-order-striking-down-draconian-blue-states-handgun-law
  3. Oregon State courts rule permit to purchase scheme is unconstitutional. Magazine capacity restriction also unconstitutional. When is this going to happen in NJ? https://youtu.be/S6GmJODXPwo?si=OL_dSMYCGmCn8fKU
  4. That's what I enjoy about cigars. For me they are a kind of "do not disturb" sign for life. Or something to indulge in leisurely with friends who enjoy them as well. For some reason men are often perceived as anti-social. Or at the very least less social than women. But you get a group of guys together smoking some cigars and they become VERY social with one another.
  5. I've heard same but can't confirm. I think the issue is it can't be "Non-compliant". So if it comes with a regular bird cage flash hider then it's non-compliant. If it's under 16 inches, it's non-compliant. Pretty much everything they sell will be non-compliant as is. I think ammo is about all we'll be able to order from them now.
  6. I'll be there. Hopefully bringings some friends and some newbies.
  7. Thanks, may take you up on that. For some reason my prior post cut off what else I've tried. Punch Double Maduro Rothschild Arturo Fuente Maduro Brevas Royale Montecristo Platinum Robusto Macanudo Maduro Hyde Park My Father's Cigars - Flor De Las Antillas Arturo Fuente Hemingway Maduro Short Story Brick House Maduro, Robusto And I've just ordered Hoyo de Monterrey, Hoyo De Tradicion Toro Grande. One of my friends is in a "Cigars of the month" group and we've smoked a few of his here and there over the summer while sampling different bourbons. Nothing really stood out but nothing was horrible either. I've been a very casaul cigar smoker since high school. Back then my go to's were Punch and Hoyo De Monterey. I very much enjoyed the Punch Double Maduro Rothschild. So far the only one I think I wouldn't purchase again is the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Maduro Short Story. And maybe the My Father's Cigars - Flor De Las Antillas? But I was walking my dog while smoking that one so may need to revisit it.
  8. I've always enjoyed cigars but never really got into them. Maybe a handful (if that) a year. But, one of my friends and I get together during the nicer months to share a nice bourbon and pontificate on life. He's been breaking out cigars. And one of my SILs and her husband moved closer to us and I'm often smoking cigars with him. He introduced me to Java Red. A flavored cigar. It's a very nice smoke. Not wanting to be constantly bumming cigars off them, I decided to start purchasing my own. Started with ordering some Java Reds. Since then I've ordered: Punch Double Maduro Rothschild
  9. @Krdshrk Happy Anniversary! Lets get it on this coming weekend!
  10. They are morons. Even if the law was passed you could just buy 999 rounds every six days. Or start reloading your own. But yes, they'll never stop trying and our side will never stop resisting and fighting back to overturn these obviously illegal laws.
  11. I'll be deer hunting in PA. And a lot if ppl may be traveling that weekend. What about next weekend? 18th or 19th?
  12. Haven't seen anything about a pumpkin and clay shoot. We doing one this year??
  13. If you think gas prices are near lows or expect it to higher in the near future you can purchase UGA (United States Gasoline Fund). While you can't fill up your tank at a discount you can profit off an increase in gasoline prices thus offsetting some of the rise in gasoline prices. If you know you have a large gasoline expense coming up, suck as a summer road trip next year, and you think gas prices will be more expensive next summer then you could use UGA to hedge against rising gasoline prices. You could estimate how much gas you think you'll be using for your trip next year, purchase that dollar amuount of UGA now and in seveal months sell UGA. If you were correct and gas prices went up then your investement would have increased by approximately the percentage rise in gasoline prices. If you are wrong you'll lose money.
  14. Welcome! Where do you shoot? Keep an eye on the "Events & Meet Ups" section for upcoming clay shoots. Lots of fun and great way to meet people and try out a bunch of different shotguns
  15. Just tell the owners you don't wish to be disturbed during your stay and leave it in your room. Under the bed or in a closet.
  16. Freedom from reality and rational thinking perhaps?
  17. I used Ghirardelli non-sweetened cocoa powder. We had it in the pantry. It's a small amount considering the amount of volume you are making but I've heard more than a few people say it makes a subtle difference. Have heard some people use peanut butter in their chili as well to add a little something different to the flavor profile. I watched a video of someone (Meat Church YouTube channel) whipping up some "Texas Red" chili. Will have to give that a whirl later in fall or winter. Looked delicious!
  18. NJ will fight it kick and screaming. They won't relent until after the 3rd Circuit Court tells them it's unconstiutional. Even then, they'll probably try to fight it to the Supreme Court.
  19. He got off easy. What he did was disgusting. NOBODY would mistake those animals for coyotes.
  20. Raining and dreary for two days. Whipped up some chili. Brown up all the meat and tossed it into the Dutch oven or pot. 3 pounds hot garlic venison 1 pound of steak strips Half pound bacon. Added to the meat: 2 cans Rotel (mild) 4 eight ounce cans Goya tomato sauce 2 cups water 2 beef bullion cubes (one for each cup of water) Mix together below and add it in to the pot and stir well: 3 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 teaspon paprika 1 teaspon cocoa powder 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Let it simmer for about three hours stirring occasionally. Towards the end I made a slurry with White Corn Mead and Guiness. 1/4 cup of the mead mixed with about half the beer. Mix it well and then stir it into the chili thoroughly. If needs more add another 1/4 cup mead and rest off beer and make slurry again. Work it into chili well again and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes to an hour or so until thickens up. This one turned out about medium hot. The venison meat had spices already so I probably could have dialed a few things back to make it milder. It's still darn good. Just have to pat my brow with a napkin occasionally. Lol.
  21. Why say it's unconstitutional and then place a stay on it?
  22. Honestly it should be Constitutional Carry. Shouldn't even be a licensing scheme by the State. It's a Natural Right. Full stop. Mic drop.
