They do not install those in desirable neighborhoods. This most likely was a drug deal gone bad. This has nothing to do with the situation in my original post which is an intruder in the home. Any intruder that enters a locked home is a threat to the occupants of that home. The women who entered her home even though she thought there might be an intruder used questionable judgement.
  2. I told him to stop and he kept approaching me, I felt my life was in danger as he is much larger than me so I fired to stop the threat.
  3. I've stayed out of this for a while but I have to say ongoing training to posses and own is a complete non starter and would never stand up to legal scrutiny. I have done training to get my CCW so I have to say I'm OK with that.
  4. My uncle who was in the Air Force described the A 10 as a cannon that we built a plane around. A very apt description.
  5. This should be mentioned to Arthur Kill so he can see how important training is. Yes I went there.
  6. I would venture to say it's like a fishing contest. Whoever shoots the squirrels that weigh the most gets the prize.
  7. I agree. I have been summoned twice and served twice and will do it again. My employer will pay my full pay if I am selected which once cost them a pretty penny, I served on a case for 7 months. If it will cause a legitimate financial hardship you should absolutely be excused but to disingenuously try to get out of jury duty is just wrong.
  8. Sig P938 Micro 1911 style but as a Glock fan you may not like the manual safety. Soft shooting for a sub compact and very accurate.
  9. The sad thing is this was written 25 years ago according to the copy write at the bottom and it has only gotten worse since then.
  10. Handguns: try as many as you can. RTSP and GFH are both great but you must have a friend with you to rent. 9mm will be far less expensive to practice with than 45ACP. Shotguns: home defense guns are not well suited for shooting clays but can do the job. Since you are looking for a low price I suggest going to a gun show or 2 or a shop that carries used guns One with a few nicks in the stock and less than perfect bluing will still function. 26 inch barrel is the shortest I would recommend for clays. Rifle: Savage makes very good inexpensive bolt guns. You can also pick up a Mosin Nagant for under $300. They have quirks but the ammo is cheap Tons of YouTube videos on them. AR: Smith & Wesson MP 15 Sport. Around $600 Everything you need plus you can upgrade parts later on if you want.
  11. S&W SW22 Loved the ability to switch barrels and the easy take down. It's on my must have list.
  12. Don't feel bad. I took meteorology for 2 semesters in college as an elective and assured my wife we weren't going to get any more than 12 inches when we went to bed Friday night, Brucie has lots of "splaining" to do.
  13. If I own the business and I authorize my employees to carry that should be enough. NJ politicians know better than us citizens though.
  14. Huskies love snow water is wet Howard loves CZ's Who would have thunk it. Nice pic Howard. Some Handsome dogs you have and as always great pics.
  15. my dogs hate the snow as much as howards love it. coonhound peed on the patio 2 feet from the door. she wants no part of outside today
  16. I used led strip lights. They are like tape. You peel the back and stick them where you want. I used them around the front just inside the door. They look great provide more than enough light and you can change the colors if the mood suits you.
  17. Good call guys. It's nice to see a company that considers the safety of their employee's over profit.
  18. What I did with my ready to assemble cabinet. https://goo.gl/photos/ehkuNLwafaDfGKzJ6
  19. Way to go Howard on the rescue.
  20. NJ law clearly states you must stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Some pedestrians will just walk out and expect your car to miraculously stop in an instant, they suck.
