  1. Every upper I have seen has an A2 or some type of suppressor or brake or a combination of the two it seems. Muzzle brakes are great unless you happen to be standing next to the person firing. Most of the more effective brakes deflect most of the otherwise straight forward blast to the sides. It can get annoying at the range when you are the guy next to the shooter and it sounds like he's shooting a .50 cal!
  2. Not bad with the free shipping! Golden tiger is $32 more per 1K including shipping from Sgammo! Worth it to me for the sealed primer and bullet as well as the great reputation!
  3. I'm gonna guess because it makes life easier here in the PRNJ! Since a threaded barrel is illegal here you must remove the A2 birdcage and pin and weld either a thread protector or muzzle brake to stay in compliance! It's an added expense but it seems impossible to find an upper or a barrel without threads.
  4. Most common usage is F#CK MY LIFE!
  5. I have the Sig P220 in .45 cal. with a built in Lasermax and a Sig P229 SS Elite in .40 cal. I love both of them! Being a Carpenter, you know the importance of having a hammer and I understand your desire for your gun to have one as well! I am not a carpenter but I too like the look and feel of a hammer. I like the ability to know right away if the gun is cocked or not. I feel safer with the longer and harder trigger pull on the first round in double action. I also have the Beretta PX4 Storm compact in 9mm. It also has a hammer! Perhaps I spent too much time with revolvers when I started shooting! I just don't feel as safe and sure of myself with a striker fired pistol! I own a couple striker fired semis but I just prefer the DA/SA much more!
  6. So they kinda need us around the way we are so they can use us as the example of what could happen to them if they don't give generously to the NRA!!! Bastards!!!!
  7. You mean the flags and stuff before you get to the locked gate was $26K??? I don't get down there as much as I would like to since most of my friends and family don't like guns very much!!! I understand my wife not liking them due to the amount of money I spend I spend on the hobby! She says "you can only shoot one gun at a time, so why do you need more than one???" I gave up trying to convince her, so now I just sneak any new guns into the house after she falls asleep!!!
  8. You, like most on this sight enjoy a good blue job!!! The older S&W model 19 had the best blue job. A very deep blue, almost black mirror finish. A GILF if there ever was one! The Beretta PX4 compact is also a great choice!!! I have one in 9mm. Great feel. Great gun! 15 rounds of pure fun!
  9. H.E., Are you saying that ISIS would warn drug dealers of an attack of this magnitude ahead of time thus risking their entire operation???
  10. I too was forced to move here! I would welcome a chance to GTFO! I DO vote, every single election! I encourage like minded friends and relatives to do the same!
  11. Another vote for a .357 magnum! Find a nice used S&W model 19 Combat Masterpiece or a nice Colt Python! The 19 will be less money! Never had a stovepipe or failure to feed with my S&W model 19 yet!!! Come to think of it, no failure to fire either! But I have only had it for 37 years!!!
  12. There are two types of voters! Those who go to work everyday, make a decent living and provide for their families. They may vote if they have the time and energy! Those who rely on the government for their section 8 housing, their medical and dental care and the food stamps (Families First Card) that puts food on their tables. THEY WILL VOTE!!! And vote for the Democrats!!! THIS is why we lost ground in the last election in our beloved PRNJ! We are outnumbered in this state and THEY always vote! A few large cities that share the same demographics in NJ control our elections! Their next meal depends on their vote!
  13. I would take this "404" to mean it was in fact true, but has been covered up by the French government! The Republican Resistance site is obviously NOT pro French government, so for them to pull that news story from their site, the government obviously forced them to! Think about how that story could cause the French government problems. 1) The fact that drug cartel members are there! 2) The fact that they are illegally armed! 3) The fact that they thwarted an attack that the police and military could not! 4) The cartel members showed that armed citizens can make a difference, legal or not! I for one wish there were illegally armed drug cartel members at every one of the attack sites! I don't think the cartel members acted to save human lives. I believe they fired back to protect their own asses from being victims! The result is the same though since in this this case, the bad guys were the good guys!
  14. If this is your first AR, I would go with the standard 5.56/.223 variety! From there you can look a pictures of other Ar's and decide what you want it to look like when complete! Choose iron sights or an optic and build accordingly. Decide the purpose of the rifle up front, then configure it accordingly! Good luck and If you have any questions, we are here for you!!! Most of all, have fun and don't put the hammer spring in backwards!!!
  15. You found the answer! Find a group of a couple hundred dedicated blacks who want CCW in NJ and set them loose!
  16. I tried to once at the Oaks show! The dealer said he could sell me a complete rifle but not a stripped lower due to the fact that I could make a pistol out of it!!!
  17. Oh crap! I looked! They are looking for recruits but you have to dress funny to join! http://www.newjerseymilitia.org/
  18. WTF is so special about that thing! You are still limited to 15 rounds and soon 5 rounds! My Beretta px4 compact holds 15 rounds and is 1/4 the size of that thing!!!
  19. Thanks Nick, So now I have to follow the no deviations crap for anything but FMJ ammo???? This sucks!!!
  20. Bob, How could any state or any 1/2 sane person call a soft nose bullet a HP or a Dum Dum! I doubt even New Jersey could get away with that one!
  21. Bob, I am well aware that soft nose bullets expand at a greater rate than FMJ! I was merely trying to point out that IMHO, they would not be considered HP or Dum Dum by the PRNJ! That was my only point!
  22. Ed, It's quite obvious this cause was managed well at the start and then not so well afterwards! I tried to help in whatever way I could and I got no response! I sincerely think this effort is dead! No fault to the many volunteers that collected signatures!!! Just not enough push from the top when it was needed in the end!
  23. On what do you base that statement? I don't doubt you but I would like to see the source of the revelation!
  24. Thanks Lublin, Got one! Looks like a nice light! Edit. Damn this little thing is BRIGHT!!! A great light for the price for sure!!!!
