  2. That would make a cool LEGAL NOT LEGAL poster that was going on in another thread M1 Carbine NOT LEGAL AR Rifle LEGAL
  3. +1 on Valentine. My take on most speed limits is that most are as arbitrary as Magazine Capacity limits, and imposed for much the same reason.
  4. Two ways to do it Vote the out in November and Jury Nullification for laws that are unjust.
  5. Well, If NJ shuts down legit gun dealers, at least we know where we can still find stuff.
  6. I was thinking that the mini could have just been one of the many models that are legal in America, just not NJ.
  7. I guess since they have the 2nd under control, they can get rid of the 1st.
  8. So much for my public service message.
  9. From results a few years ago discussing off year elections. Democrats made a similar three-seat gain in the state legislative elections in New Jersey, but Republicans retained control of both houses there. The New Jersey campaign saw a record low turnout of only 35 percent of registered voters, combined with record spending by the two big business parties, nearly $20 million combined, an unprecedented amount for an election involving only the lower house of a state legislature. If the 10-12 % of pissed of gun owners vote, it could have a huge effect.
  10. I think, "we, the people", get to vote on this in November.
  11. I get one good idea a week, I guess I am pretty much done now :-) Focus on the fun, and ignore the 2A, self defense, etc.
  12. Tell them target shooting is fun. I like the fact that to be good at it requires total concentration. Breathing, heartbeat, sight picture, timing your squeeze, etc. Kind of Zen like.
  13. True, but then she finds the next guy with singles.
  14. Having to live there does not seem to stop the Dems from voting :-)
  15. I think it is pretty cool that they named it the liberator The FP-45 Liberator was a pistol manufactured by the United States military during World War II for use by resistance forces in occupied territories. The Liberator was never issued to American or Allied troops and there is no documented instance of the weapon being used for their intended purpose. Many FP-45 pistols were never distributed and were destroyed by Allied forces after the war; and most of those distributed were lost or disposed of without any combat use.[1] More at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FP-45_Liberator
  16. May would be a low turnout election How can we get rid of him?
  17. Given the non problem with the Barrett .50, this is nothing more than a screw you to NJ gun owners. I think we have to give it right back in November.
  18. In a related question, Can you "pre-file" a NICS, so that you are good to go when you find the gun? or Does the NICS for the pistol require a: Make, Model, Ser # ?
  19. Any update of the FFL , so that we can use their pistols?
  20. This sounds like justification that we need bigger magazines to protect us from these nut jobs. If it takes 29 rounds to knock this guy down, why should we be limited to 10 or 15 Officer Savage fired 29 rounds. <snip> Dash cam video released from Middlefield police shows a man shooting at police with an assault rifle during a traffic stop in March. During a news conference Friday, police showed the weapons and other items that were found in the suspect’s car. According to police, officers pulled over James Gilkerson, 42, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, on March 10 for failing to stop at the intersection of East High Street and North State Avenue. The video shows Gilkerson getting out of the car and firing an AK-47-style rifle at the police officers. Officers Erin Thomas and Brandon Savage were injured by gunfire. Thomas was shot in the hand. Savage was able to fire back and strike Gilkerson. Gilkerson then moves back toward his car and yells “kill me” while continuing to fire shots. A report released by the Geauga County prosecutor’s office said Gilkerson fired 33 rounds at the officers. His gun had a 40-round magazine attached. Officer Savage fired 29 rounds. Inside Gilkerson’s car, police found multiple loaded magazines and loads of ammunition, ski masks and gloves, military-style ammo cans, a scoped .22 caliber rifle, instructional DVDs and books such as “Kitchen Approved Plastic Explosives,” “Advance Close-Range Gunfighting,” Homemade Detonators” and others. The prosecutor ruled earlier this week that both officers acted in self defense and would not face any charges.
