  1. Thank you! I'll PM you before the next meeting so I can look around and make a decision. 2-300yds sounds really good

  3. I had a similar problem with mine. Turned out I had to shim the top plate, it had a slight wiggle. shimmed it with a feeler gauge problem solved.
  4. I've been considering joining This year. I'm already a member at EFGA and have no complaints I'm just looking to shoot further than 100 yds. Im going to join anjrpc either way so joining the range would give me an added benefit right from the start. What I'm trying to find out is there any way to stop up and look around? I know about the orientation Sunday but would rather look around before paying for the class. If any officers or members can give me an idea if this is possible it would be I greatly appreciated.
  5. When it starts to get warmer go and rent a few different Harley's. Same as buying a gun. Trying it first will help you make your decision and it's fun to do anyway.
  6. Thanks for all the quick repsponses. The one I have is the rectangle plug. I've tried a few adapters and a few different mice I thought the problem was the mouse but it could well be the port. My original thinking was the old machine wasn't working with the new mice because of the drivers that might be required. Now I'm WAY beyond my skill. A friend had told me to check the bla bla bla and I thought the best solution was someone old enough to remember floppy disc's that started fixing pc when great ram was single digits. I tried best buy and staples but they were just way to advanced to even understand what I had. And please no more hard drive failure talk.
  7. I know it's really old and outdated but.... I have a pc that runs 3.1/95 and know very little about computers. The problem is I have a program for making vinyl lettering installed with an old style hardware key, it also runs a cutter and was built when that OS was state of the art. The original mouse died and now I can't get a working replacement because the port is also out dated and have no clue how to fix the issue without the risk of messing up the rest of the software. If anyone knows of a person or place that can work on old junk like this please let me know. Thanks, John
  8. 1 more thanks Eric! Just knowing the history behind some of these rifles is amazing.
  9. If you have the room. Sink it in as far as you can and then hinge a shallow book case in front of it you can let the spokes stick out into the shelf.
  10. Look in the parkway rest stops. They have sunglasses sales booths that have cheap hard cases
  11. I have the harbor freight one and it's great at 25 or 50 but at 100 it was to much strain to see. I bought a luepold 15x45x60 for 200. And it's clear enough to read the numbers on 25 yds nra 10x12" bullseye targets at 100 easy.
  12. I have a cheap Caldwell one similar to that last one. Works great no more brass flying around even if I'm shooting steel I leave it on and dump it in the garbage once in a while. Well worth the 9.00 I paid for it! Bought one for two shooting partners and now I don't get hit with brass anymore. Win win
  13. I did one for a friend by putting the gun in a sandwich bag and then into the holster for a few days. Worked great
  14. I use oxy clean and a scrub brush. Semi wet mix and scrub one area at a time. Works great just make sure you seal it over again right away.
  15. JTS1469

    223/556 recoil

I've shot both comp an uncomped never really noticed much difference. No where near 308 or a shotgun
  16. I thought the reason most people were taking classes and training with firearms was a direct result of terrorists and active shooter situations. I don't lose my mind every time I hear something like this but if I said that I don't think about it and pay more attention because of it I'd be lying.
  17. Best bet it to use silicone. Tub to tile and corners that's where you'll get the most movement. Most grout suppliers make it to match the grout perfectly.
  18. I would be cleaning my new rifle instead of asking the question. Then tomorrow start the address process
  19. Might be a happy misprint but day first is common practice across the pond.
  20. I always apply for 3 and just make the deadline. Actually bought an XDS spur of the moment because I wouldn't let one go to waste my last batch. Glad I did, turned out to be a great little addition!
  21. Connie is the best! I have one of those smith type names. They made some changes to the mental health process and What normally takes less than 40 days wound up at 3 months. I think in the end Connie did all the work to help me, everything else was back in less then 3 weeks my wait was just for the mental health. Could have made me mental!!
  22. I would go with the first advise. Let the town have it or use it for burning a little at a time. Putting in your equipment is a bad move.
  23. I've shot both and bought the M&P. Stick with the M&P you won't be sorry. Money well spent
