I may do a 9mm 1911 in the future, but like you said, for my first 1911...it must be .45 I have not looked into the R1, but i may now...
-
If i were going to buy another 9mm handgun it would either be another Glock, a vp9, or a PPQ. I have no desire to own a 1911 in 9mm. 45acp is the way to go! Im still doing some comparing on models/mfg's. I may go with the Ruger as i got a pretty good price on one. The Sig 1911 Nightmare is also sweet looking and has good reviews, but puts me closer to the $1k range. It would be nice if someone had a few of these in stock at a time...like Tisas, RIA, Para, Ruger etc...then maybe someone else have some of the high end stuff like the SA, Colt and Sig to get a first-hand comparison/ impression/ testing. This is tough, and i dont want to regret my first 1911 purchase because i love the platform.
-
Thanks i will keep that in mind!
-
So ive been looking into some options and it seems like the RIA and Tisas seem to be the most cost effective options, but im not opposed to something a bit higher in price range. I briefly handled a Ruger a few weeks ago that didnt feel too bad, and relatively tight. Not looking to spend a fortune but i also believe in getting what you pay for, and id like something of decent quality. So, any suggestions?

If you werent so far id do it. Easy peasy...just crack the carb open

I had the same question. For flat tops would one go with a riser or no? This? https://www.primaryarms.com/Bushnell_Trophy_TRS25_Red_Dot_Sight_1x25mm_3_p/bs731303.htm Or this? https://www.primaryarms.com/Bushnell_Trophy_TRS25_Red_Dot_Sight_1x25mm_3_p/ar731306.htm

Blazer Brass 9mm for $10.95 @ Widener's
ECsandstar replied to njpilot's topic in Hot Deal Discussions
Sucks you need to "create an account" just to place an order. Anyone have any idea on shipping? -
G-Shock FTW. I dont see the point in spending $300(or more) on a watch that offers similar or the same functions as a $100-$200 watch. As mentioned above, almost all of my g-shock watches can be worn almost anywhere. They can be abused and if need be rinsed off, wiped down, and worn with dressier attire. I'd probably wear mine in a tux if i had to wear a tux

Thanks for all the replies fellas. I know i will be looking into some of these places soon. I have been to one specific place twice to look at a ring and comparing it to other jewelers, the prices were indeed very similar(almost EXACTLY). The service so far has been much better than i had expected, but of course ive never done this before so what do i know. Well...hasnt happened yet but ill surely let you know I had this exact conversation with a co-worker today ha! HA!

Looking for a good jeweler for an engagement ring. Not necessarily looking for just a great deal on a ring, but also great customer service, nice person(s), warranty, and support. I know what im looking for which makes it easier. I absolutely dont want to deal with shmucks just hustling shiny shit. Im open to anything pretty much. Of course your Zales, Corrinne Jewelers, Jared, etc...i have been to. Just looking for more options from anyone who has had good experiences with someone or some place. Thanks in advance to any and all who have input! Im also not opposed to traveling for the right thing/place/ person.
