  1. Put down whatever you are drinking or eating and swallow before hitting play. You've been warned.
  2. I do not believe security is an illusion. Perhaps total security, being 100% protected is an illusion. To say security is an illusion would mean there is no point in doing anything to protect one's self. That's just plain silly. Having fences, safes and locks on doors is secure to a degree. Having 15' concrete walls, armed guards and a vault room is secure to a much higher degree. Then there is Ft Knox security, literally the gold standard. With enough force, anything can get broken into, the trick is to have a level of security commensurate to the anticipated threat level. If a would be bad guy thinks they can get caught or killed, they generally move on to another target. Think of the least secure house on the block as the slowest gazelle. It will get eaten first.
  3. :( 9/10 CLAY SHOOT * * * POSTPONED * * * The weather forecast for Sunday looks dismal, there is a 50% chance of rain and thunder storms. Actually, the whole weekend looks gnarly. With the odds against us, I'm calling off the shoot and will reschedule.
  4. As far as safes go, Liberty is still a very good piece of gear. You can always buy a used safe (I suspect at a deep DEEP discount now) and have a trusted locksmith change the combo. Over on another forum, a couple LS owners said they changed the combo themselves, and a few others called a locksmith to change the combo. BTW, here's why Liberty Safe Co needs to be Budweiser'd.
  5. What is interesting to me is their speed in coming up with a solution to the problem of phederal phishing trips. That in and of itself is telling, there had to have been a severe backlash. The phones at LS must have been off the hook all day and night dealing with outrage. I think the conservative, or at least moderate anti-bs cancel culture is finally catching on. Corporations are FINALLY aware they are not too big to fail and can be Budweiser'd. It's really sad that all that needs to be done to get into your safe is one unsubstantiated accusation and a judge that will summarily issue warrants for fishing trips.
  6. Ammoland Inc. Posted on August 31, 2023 by John Crump The Biden administration has empowered the ATF to shut down gun stores for small clerical errors. President Joe Biden claims the new zero-tolerance policy only affects “rogue gun dealers,” but in practice, many more small gun stores are being targeted. FFL revocations are up between 350% and 500%, rising to a 17-year high. IOIs no longer have the discretion to determine whether a violation is willful. Instead of revocation being the last option, it is becoming the default action by the ATF A Florida-based Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Industry Operations Inspector (IOI) seized a federal firearms licensee’s (FFL) completed ATF Form 4473s and bound book to take off-site to make copies violating federal law. The IOI would return the documents a week later. Last week, Kiloton Tactical joined a coalition of FFLs led by Eric Blandford of the Iraqveteran8888 YouTube channel and vowed to sue the ATF over the Biden Administration’s zero-tolerance policy for FFLs. The lawsuit has now been filed with the illegal actions of the IOI front and center in the complaint. According to 18 U.S.C. 923(g)(1)(A), FFLs must maintain records such as a bound book and copies of the ATF Form 4473, which Kiloton Tactical did maintain. During an inspection, an IOI is able to look over records for policy violations but does not have the authority to inspect the documents off-site. This action is expressly prohibited by 27 CFR § 478.23(cd). The statute reads: “The inspections and examinations provided by this section do not authorize an ATF officer to seize any records or documents other than those records or documents constituting material evidence of a violation of law. If an ATF officer seizes such records or documents, copies shall be provided to the licensee within a reasonable time.”...- John Crump Read more: ATF Inspector Seizes Gun Store Customer Records Without A Warrant
  7. You can also change thread title to SOLD which will help you avoid unnecessary PMs asking if it's still available.
  8. FYI, Solomon's Shooter Supply in Farmingdale usually has primers in stock.
  9. I have not seen any prohibitions on using them, however, we had a bad experience with someone using steel and several ricochets were close enough that we heard the bullets whizzing by. It's only a 100yd range, while it's not prohibited, I would not advise it.
  10. * * * POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER * * * Howdy folks! It's about time we get together again to turn some money into noise. Come join us XXXXXXXX at the STAFFORD FORGE WMA shotgun and rifle range for a morning of freedom! If you will be joining the fun, please let us know how many will attend and what you are bringing so we can plan for supplies. Shooting commences at 0900 and keeps going until we get bored, run out of ammo, or hear mom calling us home. Shoots go until at least 1300, leaving plenty of time for everyone to stop in at any time and join the party. As always, these clay shoots are informal gatherings, just plain old fun to promote clay sports and encourage training. Please feel free to bring friends and family. Shooters of all experience are welcome, if you have never shot clays before, or want some tips on improving your skills, this is your chance to dust off that shotgun sitting in a dark corner of your closet and gain some needed experience. What you will need. Bring your shotgun(s), as much #7.5 or #8 lead target/field loads as you want to shoot, and depending on how much you want to shoot, a carton of clay pigeons would be great. Targets (ie. clay pigeons) are available at Shooters in LEH and Solomon's Shooter Supply in Farmingdale. Some Walmarts carry targets. Don't forget eyes and ears. Also recommended is a chair, sun screen, insect repellent, and something to drink. I will be bringing an automatic trap machine, if you have a thrower, please bring it as a backup or second station. If you don't have a shotgun and just want to see what clay shoot'n is all about, a loaner pump action will be available. For those who plan on shooting rifles, you must have a firearms hunting license, or be on the rifle range with someone that has a license. In addition to the traditional rimfire and muzzle loaders, Stafford now allows center-fire up to .30 caliber. I'll be bringing my .308 DMR to sight in a new scope. Basic Checklist Shotgun and/or rifle Ammo Firearm hunting license, if you have one (not mandatory, just helpful) Eye and ear protection (mandatory) Clay targets (optional but recommended for volume shooters) Shell pouch (optional) Folding chair (optional) Hydration County Rd 539, Barnegat, NJ 08005, USA , Little Egg Harbor Township. 11. A man who was shot to death while trying to break in to a woman’s home in a rural area near Tucson last week was a registered sex offender who lived nearby, records show. Jayson Magrum, 43, was shot dead Aug. 11 when the Pima County Sheriff’s Department says he was trying to get into a house in Three Points, about 30 miles southwest of Tucson. https://tucson.com/news/local/crime-courts/intruder-shot-killed-tucson/article_6a2720ac-3c66-11ee-aa35-9f03260a0820.html
  12. We need to demand the IRS bans guns in the agency, if it will save just one agent.
  13. Wilson Combat makes very good to extremely good barrels. The one included with this upper is a hunter grade barrel, meaning it's not likely to be a one ragged hole machine, more like half dollar sized groups. If you want extreme accuracy for long range shooting, I don't believe that upper will get the job done. I think you can do better price and performance wise if you just build your own upper.Rainier Arms makes fantastic barrels, the price to value ratio is high. You can buy a match grade barrel with an accuracy guarantee for less than $300.00. We can help you spec out the upper and source the parts based on your criteria. If you don't want to assemble the upper yourself, you can always ask a an experienced friend or use a gunsmith. In the end, you will have a rifle that is exactly what you wanted.
  14. Hillbilly vs Game Warden A hillbilly went hunting one day in West Virginia and bagged three ducks. He put them in the bed of his pickup truck and was about to drive home when he was confronted by an ornery game warden who didn’t like hillbillies. The game warden ordered to the hillbilly to show his hunting license, and the hillbilly pulled out a valid West Virginia hunting license. The game warden looked at the license, then reached over and picked up one of the ducks, sniffed its butt, and said, “This duck ain’t from West Virginia . This is a Kentucky duck. You got a Kentucky hunting’ license, boy?” The hillbilly reached into his wallet and produced a Kentucky hunting license. The game warden looked at it, then reached over and grabbed the second duck, sniffed its butt, and said, “This ain’t no Kentucky duck. This duck’s from Tennessee. You got an Tennessee license?” The hillbilly reached into his wallet and produced an Tennessee license. The warden then reached over and picked up the third duck, sniffed its butt, and said This ain’t no Tennessee duck. This here duck’s from Virginia. You got a Virginia. huntin’ license?” Again the hillbilly reached into his wallet and brought out a Virginia. hunting license. The game warden was extremely frustrated at this point, and he yelled at the hillbilly “Just where the hell are you from? “The hillbilly turned around, bent over, dropped his pants, and said “You tell me, you’re the expert!!”
  15. I'd be more inclined to believe it if the pilot had a Hebrew accent and was carrying a Desert Eagle.
  16. It's probably one of them Eye Talian Garands made by Beretta, or someone gave it the Beretta treatment.
  17. We had a GE washer with no agitator and it sucked. Not only dd it not clean clothes, it kept breaking down and needed a special detergent. When we gave up on the washer, I went shopping at used appliance shops that also carried commercial laundromat machines. I bought an old school Whirlpool that was the same as a commercial machine, but without the coin slots. It's been chugging along for 12 years with no issues. In today's GND appliance market, you have two choices for a machine that will actually work. An expensive front loader or an older refurbished commercial machine.

  19. The search string is too short. If you use a modifier like NRA AND membership or "NRA membership" , you will get pages of results.
  20. Just a heads up. Subsonic rarely cycles reliably in a semi-auto. You can still manually cycle the bolt.
