  1. I had a Clinger AIWB and it was pretty good. More recently I picked a CYA AIWB, which I really like. Plenty of good options including JM Custom Kydex, Phlstr, and on.
  2. Keep in mind that your luggage may not come out on the carousel when transporting a firearm. I flew to Phoenix with a pistol a few years ago and went into a big panic when my bag never came out, only to learn I had to go to the airline's counter in the baggage claim. Same thing happened for my return to PHL. YMMV.
  3. Thanks, @gleninjersey. I have been trying different things for a couple years now and have found some things I really like, though they are hard to find, e.g., Eagle Rare I've never seen in NJ and Buffalo Trace I've only seen at one place. Will check out your suggestions when the collection starts getting low. Have bought a few duds here and there and was wondering if whiskey sticks might not make them a little better should I choose poorly again.
  4. This might be sacrilege, but anyone ever use whiskey sticks in their bourbon? I recently came across these and it seemed interesting (there's all kinds of these things out there). https://www.battlegroundfarm.com/products/box-of-5-duds-oak-whiskey-aging-bullets?variant=42300367274215 A couple years ago I got my father a 1L charred (inner) oak barrel for father's day and it actually does work. I was thinking these might not be as good as that but might be fun to check out for kicks.
  5. Not trying to derail the conversation on holsters or start a holy war here but my two cents are as follows. I've trained a good amount under GAPP and one of the things Cameron drilled into our heads, which I agree with, is to never be in a hurry to reholster and always be aware of what you are doing. Cameron would see what people brought to the class but in general he didn't mandate a particular solution unless were behaving in an unsafe manner. I have done classes with an IWB on my back, and Serpa and Safariland OWB paddle. That said, I understand why some ranges don't allow Serpas. Also, was an earlier comment that if the situation is still dangerous you shouldn't be reholstering, which I also agree with. Last, I see folks all the time at RAF, including people I know in LE, reholstering by "feeling" for the opening with the muzzle precisely because they aren't looking, which seems like a great way to shoot yourself. FWIW, the motivation for my original question was more that an OWB holster on my side is somewhat easier and quicker to draw from than an IWB behind the back. And I sure as heck wouldn't be reholstering AIWB without looking!
  6. Is any holster good for the qualification (other than possible range reqs like no serpas)? Side OWB seems easiest to me but it's not very concealable. Also, what about retention level? Also, regarding the previous comments I've seen about reholstering without looking, is this actually codified in the requirements somewhere?
  7. Saw this. Very good read. Nice to see some red-pilling taking place among the left.
  8. I thought this was closed! Dang, now I need to go check it out.

  10. Some things are more illegal than others apparently...
  11. Recently had one take less than a day. Dude at the LGS said state was sued recently over this, which I hadn't heard.
  12. https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/congress-guns-legislation/2022/06/08/id/1073575/ Turncoat Chris Smith voted for it. Where's my shocked face emoji?
  13. And severe punishment for fraudulent or malicious false accusations.
  14. I like the ALG ACT (Advanced Combat Trigger). I have a couple RTB nickel teflon triggers, which are decent.
  15. Agreed, though generally speaking I think pushing more limits of this sort up to 21 (or beyond) will only push back when people become responsible and reinforces undesirable behavior.
  16. I'd add: You can't consent to getting a vaccine without your parents approval (14 in places like CA I think). You can't say you have the wrong parts and have it hidden from your parents or be allowed to undergo transition (also under 18). Or any medical procedure for that matter. It's amazing how intelligent or dumb the left finds children when it suits their agenda.
  17. Thread hijack (redirect?). For all you drummers and prog rock types, Alan White also died. https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/alan-white-yes-and-john-lennon-drummer-dead-at-72/
  18. 1/0 moment. Funny yet incredibly sad and frustrating.
  19. RIP. Sad. Great actor. Too young.
  20. I didn't get past this BS. Completely false. Liars. The crisis in this country, and in New Jersey, is complex and calls for policies that are multifaceted. Currently, a federal law, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCCA), prevents states from being able to sue the gun industry for irresponsible behavior that facilitates gun violence. It provides immunity to the firearms industry that is unlike the protections provided to any other industry.
