  1. I used it to pick up the SigRomeo5 for $100 with tax since it was a hot deal at $120 before the code. I've grabbed ammo as well. free shipping currently right now too.
  2. There were a lot in the field and steam store here. I was bummed when I found out they were owned by dick's. Luckily there is a gander outdoor and academy on the same street lol.

I've been hearing good things about the V3 (Chuck Hawks and others). Remington might make a comeback after the bankruptcy restructuring is sorted. I'm hoping they cut back to what they used to be good at then go from there.
  4. Get the extra rubber on the brace. The regular SB that came with my PSA kit isn't comfortable. i have used the Velcro brace for a few shots just for laughs while I shot it one handed. i have to say I like the AR pistol much more than I thought I would. It is really, really cool (most important factor obviously). It also doesn't shoot as poorly as many would lead you to believe. With the standard A2 can there sadly isn't the fireball effect. The lighter weight makes it fun to shoot off hand without putting it down for 4 straight hours [this morning]. Jump on this before the ATF changes their mind. Once liberals discover these scary, more concealable black guns the ATF will succumb to the pressure.
  5. I'm a fan of the alien gear 3.0/3.5. The newer holsters breathe better in the NC heat. as for carrying a 1911... I carry the shield because it was 1/3 the cost of the 1911. Also reliable, etc. God forbid If I ever had to use it, I won't be as upset having it "confiscated" until my innocence was proven as I would be the much nicer, more expensive 1911. 1911 is also very heavy compared to polymer pistols. Good luck!
  6. I usually wait for LAPG or Vert sales. Winter ends at a reasonable time here in the south so Jean season is only 3-4 months. I need the lighter fabrics.
  7. I think an AR build is the way to go. Being modular will keep her interest. Downside: The lightweight parts will be expensive. i know savage makes a few lightweight deer rifles. Haven't shot them but remember seeing them when I bought my 308. The accu trigger is nice right out of the box. Another route would be to look at a number of different youth rifles. They come in a lot of different calibers. Edit: now how exactly did you convince her to come to the range?
  8. We are the majority. Law abiding citizens are the majority and we can't remain silent any longer.

  10. There's significant Ukrainian populations in random towns and cities all over the US. If he goes into law enforcement in any of those or the surrounding areas that are recruiting, he would have a significant advantage having it as a primary language vs the disadvantage of basic English in most lines of work. can always volunteer at local schools to move into coaching. I used to help coach a squirt level ice hockey team twice a week. There's also usually a lot of resources for immigrants on the national embassy websites. A Russian family friend took advantage of these on the Russian embassy site and got a civilian job on Ft Bragg. Good luck to your buddy.
  11. Bought some PSA lower receivers without the logo or anything on it so I could customize. I remember some on here did builds and stamped something like FU NJ etc etc. What do you use to do it?
  12. If they sell it, I am interested in it as well. I need to know a bit more detail before I hand over the cash but it sounds like something I would want. If there are any NJ evil aspects then being in free country USA might be a bit easier as well. Shoot me a pm with what it is exactly if you hear of it coming to that and I'll text you my number.
  13. I wouldn't touch anything pro 2a where the favorable comparison is extremely restrictive NYC. Imagine the anti 2a crowd: "So this means NYC has the perfect balance of restrictions that we should apply to the rest of the country." hell no.
  14. I was living in Manhattan not too long ago. My understanding for bringing firearms into NYC was that I would need to apply for a license, go through an interview, possibly be denied, then register whatever I brought. I'm sure there are people who go through this process and I remember some very limited hunting exceptions but I doubt NYC citizens are armed in any statistically relevant number that would affect these rates compared to London in particular. i remember reading this article on the firearms blog and it had a very different narrative. Essentially guns are largely banned in both places. So what is the reason? Largely changes in law enforcement practices. My point being this isn't the best pro 2a "evidence." All you have to do is compare London to another restrictive gun law major city with lower murders (looks like almost anywhere) and the argument is lost.
  15. Your morality is worth more than $10. Dick's is overpriced as hell anyway.
  16. 556 is effective. My combat infantry buddies in Bragg are using. Delta guys here are using them. IS guys are doped on khat and meth. I've heard of guys taking a dozen rounds before going down. A dozen. Unless you shoot these guys with hellfire missiles you can't expect 1 shot stops. Luckily, these are very rare individuals.
  17. Whole country is battling, but NC is a state that is still fighting from a position of strength (hence why the nationwide conceal bill originated in NC). Can't say the same about a lot of other states that were bastions of freedom just one generation ago.
  18. We need conservative NJ residents to move to NC for a change. As long as you are retiring here and not looking for a good school district, you can buy up huge amounts of property 30 mins or further from town. Definitely stay out of Durham county. Avoid Cary (Containing Area for Relocated Yankees) unless you want to feel like you are still in NJ. But seriously, we need some conservative yanks to start moving here instead. NC is tired of NJ residents who "just had to get out of that shithole" and then try to make NC more like NJ. Doesn't make any sense. Come breath the fresh, free air and help keep it free. The battle is actually ongoing here as well, but you are fighting from a position of strength. Police are very pro-2A but your interactions will be limited due to your obtainable CCW, which comes with a much larger platter of freedom. You want beach? Take I-40 to the outer banks. You want mountains? Take I-40 to the Great Smoky Mtns. I'm going to take 6 deer on my own property this fall. Coyotes will drop like flies. Seriously need anyone on this forum to retire out here. Keep us in the position of strength.
  19. NRA isnt perfect but it is all we got. The politicians they lobby are the ones compromising and it would be worse without a large donating body that can motivate a large number of voters.
  20. Check true car as well. Gives a good idea to where the dealer can go. Try to get under the number since the average is likely higher from those that pay the sticker price. Good luck.
  21. Got it off mrgunsngear on fb. Use code NCS for $19.50 per shipped. https://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/model-17-34-9mm-magazines-prod23056.aspx?avs|Make_3=Glock
