  1. I do grow a bit tired of the comparisons the left makes with Australia (and New Zealand). It is deceptive in that for starters they have a higher "mass shooting" definition than the States, not to mention how some shootings, like the recent one, were ignored by the US media. Also, if they want to be balanced (which they dont) they can add 300 million people to their percentages (which would give them almost the same population as us) and then see how the numbers of Australia really match up.
  2. I'll be contacting my reps, who are usually pro 2A (they voted to abstain on the duty to warn law revision last year, which in my opinion is worse than the 10 round limit). However, the Democrat supermajority we have here is pretty hard to beat, so it is my plan to be moved back to the land of the free (or free-er if we are feeling really critical today) before my purchaser ID card expires in 4 years.
  3. Much like Pennsylvania, the potential for loss of 2A rights is always there and we need to be as vigilant as possible to stop it. Like Pennsylvania, the media loves to back the democrat governor and disregard the republican legislature, giving people a false or at least unbalanced sense of where aurhority lies. I, too, remember when the Virginia governor and atty general tried to break reciprocity agreements and failed. Sadly, the PA atty general still got his way with ending the Virginia agreement.
  4. My magazine came in the mail today. I think the New Jersey bureaucracy will eventually block sales like this because they think it will stop gang violence in Trenton, but it hasnt happened yet.
  5. I lived in a community in the poconos that allowed golf carts and atvs. I liked the option. It was great for my then-younger kids to get around. The batteries took a little extra wear and tear with the cold winter weather, but Florida would not have that problem.
  6. I just bought a handgun magazine on ebay this morning and it is listed as being shipped.
  7. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear that our President's knowledge of suppressors may be leaning towards Hollywood movies.
  8. I thought I read that a5452 or a stricter version of it was not going to be passed out of committee in the senate, which may be the reason why it is being introduced in the house/assembly.
  9. I am curious about that 80% "shaming" number of firearms being from out of state, specifically wondering how many firearms are untraceable compared to that vague 80% number.
  10. Sadly, I fear that my brother is correct regarding New Jersey government's perception that there are only two groups in New Jersey with firearms: Law enforcement and the bad guys.
  11. I consider myself a semi fan, as I have only seen seasons 1 and 8, and know that there's a lot in the middle that, as I can tell by the ending outrage by many, as lots of plot points that appear to have been missed or overlooked. I thought the fight with the dead should have had more significance, but that's my noviceness talking. My wife liked my ending prediction, which was somewhat close to the real ending: My prediction was that Dany would have had John killed, which would have angered Bran to the point of controlling the remaining dragon to fry/kill Dany. Bran becomes king as a result, with Tyrion as the hand of the king. The ending was a little better than the social media outrage I tried to avoid reading, although those additional episodes they declined to do would have probably helped things. The ending appeared similar of the endings to Deep space nine and Battlestar Galactica. I will take the minority stance and say that I liked the Iron throne episode a bit better than Avengers: endgame!
  12. I do find it worrisome when one group seeks vengeance on another group based on current assumptions and things that happened generations ago.
  13. I saw the video on drudgereport. Arnold got hit pretty hard but he looks to be in decent shape and didn't appear to get hurt. I dont know if there is any relation to racial tensions in South Africa, but I have heard some negative stuff happening down there.
  14. I have heard of police locating individuals by "pinging" their phones, but I am not sure if the GPS plays a role this or not.
  15. I don't use voice activation, but I have seen my watched ebay items show up on my facebook page. I attrbute that to Google chrome and me not deleting my search history.
  16. My last few transfers (in Pennsylvania) were either $25 or $30, and one of those fees was for two. I even did a rifle transfer in Pennsylvania for $30 as a New Jersey resident (at Tanners). These prices I am reading here are....... different.
  17. I have to take recertification/continuing education trainings for my job through Rutgers university behavioral health. Two of the last three trainings had speakers that could not help themselves when it came to inappropriately expressing anti-gun opinions. And one was about "Gang culture," but the speaker was not against gang culture! They had one this season called home grown terrorism and mental health screening. I guess there is a chance for objectivity, but I find that chance to be even smaller if not nonexistant in New Jersey.
  18. When a democrat wins a seat ( the 7th congressional district) it is frustrating how quickly the "gun rights" topic option gets renamed to "gun violence."
  19. Yes it does. I think it was the first time i went to get my LTCF and I had to come back the next day. After that, I just called the sheriff's office before leaving to make sure. Live and learn. However, that was the only delay I had with them and they were contacted multiple times on my behalf.
  20. I never used NICS and hope to move back to Pennsylvania sooner than later to keep that promise!
  21. If you live close to the free side of the Delaware river, just about any brand at a Walmart would be just fine!
  22. Thank you. I know there is some emotion in my response, but I view the militia at the Battle of Lexington as some of the bravest men in the world.
  23. It is frustrating that the cathedral survived a Nazi occupation, but not survive whatever happened today.
