$87 to fill the truck.

My last RV trip in October, I was up to $120 to top off the tank, and that was starting from 1/4 full. I can't wait to see what it will be up to when we go out for the first RV trip in the Spring...  :shok:

Gas or diesel RV?

Gas... Ford V10    between 7-8 mpg...  :mda:

After the last trip, with all the hill climbs we did, I was so glad I got the  6.8 liter V10 gas versus the 3.6 liter V6 Mercedes diesel (except for the fuel bill).

Yikes, that's a thirsty beast.  At least it's still measured in miles per gallon and not gallons per mile...

Ha... remember that 7-8 mpg is an average over 40+ gallons (55 gallon tank)... it's probably gallons per mile up the big hills... :mutley:

$87 to fill the truck.  This is still out of control.

Went out to fill the gas can for the "Global Warming" coming tomorrow. Topped off the tank in my truck at the same time from a half a tank. $3.38 for regular, $42 to half fill it. I don't normally even look at the price, because frankly, I can't control it.  But this is getting nuts..

I'm just really glad I'm not working anymore. When working, I was on the road everyday, and filling up multiple times a week... I'd hate to have to deal with these prices now.

Ahhh, I can hardly wait to see what the prices will be in a few months, when I need 40 -50 gallons in the RV every day...:shok:

Yup a VIsa card no cash and 10 mins of spare time to wait on the lines if peak time.

And assuming all Costco fuel stations are all built and configured the same they have the long hoses like the old days so you don’t have to get in line according to the side your tank is on in passenger cars. They'll stretch hose across your trunk
