New Training for Carry Permits - Any Word?

Recommended Posts

The new (intereum) qual for us Non-Leos is obviously unconstitutional and total BS. I am not applying to be a State Trooper or FBI agent, nor do I have the same use of force rules or legal protections they do...All this new qual is going to do is prevent law abiding citizens from getting their carry permits - shame on the NJ State troopers they just cut and pasted what was out there in the Professional Law Enforcement community without giving any critical thought to the it....FWIW, I already sent an e-mail to ANJRPC and Dan Schmutter asking that they fight it. Everyone should do the same, they need to hear from us on ths one...

hhmm...i read that 2nd half wrong then.......don't ask me how...but i did.

that said......ok. that's fine. many of us already DID comply with the training, and it is on record with the pd's......

would be nice if we could. even if we had the numbers, there's the other issues......

Assuming that the qualifications that some of us met to obtain a post-Bruen NJ permit to carry are now considered inadequate, how would the state be empowered to take any enforcement action against a permit holder without first notifying him or her personally of the revised requirements, and the consquences of not meeting those? I lost my driver's license morfe than once for speeding violations when I was a young man. NJ MVC had to write me to tell me that my license was suspended, for how long, and what I needed to do to get it reinstated, not just publish some public notice that claimed that anyone who had accumulated 12 points in 3 years was required to stop driving until he or she passed an approved driving safety class.

California? Massachusetts? NY? I think there are several states that can compete with NJ in the tyrant sweepstakes, although NJ may enjoy a narrow lead at this time.

I didn’t mean all other states. Just that others have not been.
