@Displaced Texan that's what I carried as a duty gun from 1989 to about 1993. A PT99AF with adjustable sights. During that time the only problem I has was the rear sight leaf broke. Sent it back with about a 2 week turnaround. I put about 10,000 rds through it and it's still running strong. Bought a 669 (S&W M19 clone) about the same time. I've put more than 6000 rds of full magnums through it. Still tight. I've seen personally S&W M66s go out of time at 1500 rds and one blowing out its cylinder at 400 rds. Our personal experience is the biggest factor in forming our opinions.

ok. i know there's bunches of us that're old, almost old, beyond old, reliving 2nd childhood, etc. so i'm taking a shot in the dark here. when i was a kid my grandmom used to make these chocolate oatmeal cookies with vanilla icing. i recall having seen a recipe she was using that i think was from the courier post. or it was published in there from someone else. this is at LEAST from the 1960's old, as i remember these through most of my childhood. moms other son used to have a copy of it, but he won't talk to me, so trying to get a copy from him isn't gonna happen. if he even still has it. so.......does anyone else remember these? had them? know where i can find the recipe? i googled and duckduckgo'd, not much luck. so now i'm here. thanks!
