Colt 1911 grips

I bought these colt grips online as a colt product, came in colt package. For some reason the horse doesn't look perfect to me, is there a way to tell if the grips are actual colt, does it even matter? https://photos.app.goo.gl/HxR12vfrfrUJ2ur99

Far from an expert on Colt commercial products, but I do own 2 Colts and have been a fan/ follower for many years, so take this fwiw.

IMHO it doesn’t matter. As far as I know Colt outsources their grips anyway. If you like the way they look, use them. As for the medallion, the picture is not super clear.

Were these grips sold by a reputable online vendor or via EBay? If the latter I’d be suspect.
End of the day if you like the grips and they feel good keep them.

From what I could see, they are nice but I agree with @Krdshrk, most likely fake. I say enjoy them and the money you saved had you purchased OEM Colt grips.
