IDPA lesson

Are there any weekend IDPA intro lessons available not too far from Jersey City? I'm about to shoot my first match and would prefer not to fumble my way through it.

Where are you shooting your first? I shot my first in Somerset. They give you a good briefing and are fine with new shooters. Just take your time and forget about the clock. Watch some internet videos, practice your mag changes and remember not to break the 180 rule, especially when moving, changing mags and clearing a jam. Keep your finger out of the trigger well when moving. Don't put your finger on the trigger until you have your pistol on the target.

 

BTW: There is a USPSA match on Saturday, September 5th at Shongum. We are good with new people and it's good practice.

The match on the 20th is Somerset IDPA.

 

I've already made plans for the 5th, otherwise I'd be up for the USPSA match.
