Why am I not surprised in the least the Mayor of my Town is involved?

 

Honestly MAIG if I remember right is more about banning guns completely then keeping them away from criminals and they already lost a huge chunk of their membership (about 50 members) when people wrote to their mayors exposing what they really stand for. I think its time us Jersey folk follow the trend the New York gun owners have started and start writing to these people. As long as they're a part of that group that's one less vote for them.

The mayor of my town (Mt. Olive Township) wasa menber of this. I wrote a letter to him, asking him to withdraw. At least two other gun owners in town that I know of also wrote him a letter. He eventually withdrew his membership in that organization.

 

From one of the other folks that wrote to him, I heard that he regarded the incident as a misunderstanding as to the organization's mission and goals.

Most of these chuckleheads jump on the bandwagon for the illegal part and do not look into what they are joining. They are going for political points. Nice to see my Mayor is not on the list.

A few claimed one of their aids filled everything out for them without their knowledge and immediately backed out when they started getting hate mail from their voters.

I've been following this for a little while, mostly due to what I've heard on Cam & Co (can be found at NRANews.com or iTunes). I was pleasantly surprised to find that my mayor wasn't on the list. Frankly I don't know what her stance is, suppose it's time to find out.

I Cant believe MY mayor isnt on that list...he's as Hudson-county liberal Dem as they get...sadly im not surprised about North Arlington's Mayor being on it. Pete was one of those cops that set the stereotype about us being anti-gun... NEVER hesistated to tell anyone who would listen how nobody should be armed... From the guys I know who worked under him at the PD he was apparently a douch-nozzle then, and it doesnt look as if things have changed.
