M855 Ammo in NJ

Recommended Posts

Will the outdoor ranges allow it, I am thinking of joining CJR&P? I wanted something heavier then 55 gr. Guess I can get non-military ammo, but bulk M855 is one of the cheaper.

Thanks again,

Jimmy

Yes they allow everything except for tracer and incendiary type ammo, it's a good club.

Old Bridge is the same, any ammo at the outdoor range.

Most outdoor ranges in this area allow steel cores/steel jackets I do believe. I know the tunnels at somerset county fish and game allow it along with easton fish and game. The reason outdoor ranges ban it is not penetration or ricochet, but sparks against rocks causing fires. hence you read alot of guys out west saying how they cant shoot surplus ammo or wolf. Fires isnt really a problem out here (or the ranges just dont give a crap?)
