New Family Member

Unexpectedly, we were presented with the opportunity to do something we've talked about for a long time - that is: Add a critter to our life. Her name is Maggie and she is a 2.5 YO German Short Hair Pointer. She will be strictly a pet. We will be picking her up in about a week and ahalf. Really looking forward to enriching our lives. Yes, you are right, she has had some training and she does have style & ability - unfortunately for the previous owner (a bird hunter) and fortunately for us, she is gunshy. Points beautifully (as you can see) and moves well in the field, just can't be shot over. Which is how we were lucky enough to become her new family. So she will be subjected to a life of luxury - I know my SO will spoil her unbelieveably. Can't wait.

Want a easy fix for gun shyness... i used this on my English Setter. Feed her from steel bowls. When getting her meals together bang them together as loud as possible. Make alot of noise. She will attribute that load ringing and awfully annoying and scary sound with diinner.

 

Worked like a charm and took about 6 weeks.

 

Unless is it is really a bad case ... then we dont want her to soil the floor.
