Three rounds when hunting ?

Recommended Posts

OK got my new to me AR and I'm thinking about going after a couple groundhogs. Now I've been hunting with single shot varmint rifles for years and muzzle loaders for deer so I never gave any thought to NJ 3 round max in gun hunting laws...

So my question is I need a 2 round magazine ? one in the pipe & two in the mag, same as a pump or auto shotgun?

what happens if I run across a zombie groundhog ?

Called F & G, three in gun, mags DO NOT need to be plugged. Mags 15rd max of course.

Mags DO need to be plugged. My dad got a summons for that years ago.

Just take a 10 rd mag and put a piece of wood under the follower and you are legal. Just like a dowel in a 5 rd shot gun. Be safe don't believe a phone call.

A little piece of wood can save you a lot of greif.

Per fish and game, Clinton law enforcement office.

RIFLES (not shotgun) may not BE LOADED with more then three rounds,BUT the magazine need not to be blocked to prevent holding more then three.

NOW SHOTGUNS per federal migratory game laws need to be plugged to 3 rounds total capacity
