If I were to buy a T-99, what should I be looking for beside an intact mum?

Matching numbers if you can find them. Aircraft sights are cool and rare. Ammo, if you can find it.

take a look at the serial number to see the series and year of production. Is it pre war? during the war? or last ditch?

 

Some of the late last ditch models have a bit more of a collectible value to it in some people's eyes. Some of the last ditch ones will be found unissued/unfired.

 

Otherwise... Type 99's have some of the strongest receivers out of the surplus rifles. Only thing is the ammo.
