Sig 556 $971 free shipping

Not sure if this is common knowledge but buds gun shophas several models of the SIG556 to choose from for $971 including shipping.

 

Online average for some of these rifles were about $1200 after comparing on google shopper.

 

What do you guys think?

I like the Sig 556 rifles. They are a great piston based firearm. Some of the early ones had a few issues and quirks, such as a bolt knob that stuck up and was incompatible with most red dots such as eotechs. they are picky with ammo, at least mine was, and would only shoot brass cased ammo. Take standard AR mags.

 

It is a good price for them. Only thing to realize now... they are heavy, and a bit front heavy.

 

Rear sight is not an actual sight, but rather a backup flipup.... but it is there. Best bet is to drop in an optic, or a backup sight.

Those all seem like the older first gen models.

 

then there was also talk if the 556 would be discontinued as Sig has the 516, also a gas piston but is an AR.
