Mick 0 Posted October 26, 2010 Just turned in the permit paperwork at my local police department. Got the paperwork about three weeks ago but was told not to return it until the fingerprinting was done. Wish me luck!

Malsua 1,422 Posted October 26, 2010 Ah, well, cheers and good luck. Figured out what you'd like to get first? You did apply for at least 3 pistol permits?

savageshooter 10 Posted October 31, 2010 I applied for new permits late September. Hoping to get them by Christmas, but after the new year is more realistic being that they took 18 weeks last time.

BierGut 0 Posted January 6, 2011 What a ridiculous system. You can say that again! Also something I have noticed recently (last year) that has happened not only to me, but a close friend... not getting the call about handgun permit approvals until they are a few weeks old. Neither one of us wanted to raise an issue (we both had pistols put aside for us), but I might just submit another app to see what happens. (and maybe this time refuse it to see what the reaction is) Any thoughts? Am I just pissing in the wind?
NJ609 22 Posted January 6, 2011 Any thoughts? Am I just pissing in the wind? Just because you are pissing in the wind doesn't mean you should stop pissing.... If you feel it will "help the cause" or give you satisfaction to do so, then yeah, go for it.
