Just turned in the permit paperwork at my local police department. Got the paperwork about three weeks ago but was told not to return it until the fingerprinting was done. Wish me luck!

I applied for new permits late September. Hoping to get them by Christmas, but after the new year is more realistic being that they took 18 weeks last time.

Also something I have noticed recently (last year) that has happened not only to me, but a close friend... not getting the call about handgun permit approvals until they are a few weeks old. Neither one of us wanted to raise an issue (we both had pistols put aside for us), but I might just submit another app to see what happens. (and maybe this time refuse it to see what the reaction is)
