Irony, Thy Name is...

So, I was poking around the interwebs and, for the first time, discovered that the motto of the State of New Jersey is "Liberty and Prosperity."

 

With a motto like that, one would think you would find a state with low taxes, small government and very little "nannyism." Alas, you find the opposite to be true.

 

Another funny one I saw lately was on a license plate from Washington, D.C. In a horrid misstatement of a famous founding principal of our country, across the bottom of the license plate, it read "taxation without representation." I couldn't help but think, "ain't that the truth."

The DC license plate was one of Clinton's last acts as President. Dems would love DC to have a vote in Congress. You know the voters there would have their hands out and vote Dem down the line.
