Does an FID card ever expire? I only see an issue date, no expiration date. A friend can't find his. Can he go to his local police dept and request a new one provided he is still eligible and still living in the same town that issued the original, or does the process need to be started all over again?

Nope, good for as long as you don't move or change your name if your female.

There's a spot on the application for "duplicate card".

True, but it is, in effect, the whole process all over again. Fingerprinting or non-criminal background check, mental health check, references, the whole ball of wax. PITA.

Adios,

If he lost his initial ID..

He can request a new one,

And instead it being checked of at initial it will

Be cheked of duplicate..

Meaning his initial Id the grist one issued to him is out

There somewhere ;)

He should mension that he had one b4 at the local PD he applies at.
