GFH Kids day at the range

Recommended Posts

GFH along with BH ran a Kids day at the range yesterday Nov 20th. Here's a big big thank you to all that participated in that event. You guys did a tremendous job.

The afternoon began with the NRA's Eddie Eagle video which is a bit hokey but drives the message of gun safety home to the kids.

Then the kids had a chance to handle simulation guns - a handgun and an AR so that they could be coached on how to hold the guns properly and how to acquire the sights. The issue of cross eye dominance reared its ugly head for several of the children - at least one of which who had a parent with the same issue.

The group then moved across the street to shoot a Crickett 22 single shot and a Ruger Mark 3 at a large Shoot-N-C target placed a bit downrange. The kids seemed to have a great time and my son really enjoyed shooting.

Thanks guys for introducing the next generation to shooting!!
