WOLFIE4305 3 Posted January 5, 2012 My brother just got his permits in and is looking at a used smith and Wesson 9mm chiefs special from a close friend of mine. My friend bought it brand new a few years ago and the gun has maybe 100 rounds through it. He's not a member here so I am looking for pros and cons from people who have or have shot one. I personally don't know much about that model but it's what he is set on because of the perfect price he will get it for. He has shot one a few times and likes it, but wants to know if their are known issues people have had. Anyone have anything they want to say?
tony357 386 Posted January 5, 2012 Have not heard of any issues, wolfy owns one or two and i shot his. Good shooting pistol..
NJCK 5 Posted January 5, 2012 They are very nice carry pistols (though, I would carry a CS40 or CS45 personally). Well-built, reliable Smith pistol. The Novak sites are a plus too. Purchase with confidence IMO. Just don't pay too much as they aren't the kitty's PJs and many, many were pumped out. I picked up a LNIB in January 2011 for $385 and sold it on GB for $550. RecessedFilter 222 Posted January 5, 2012 Is that one of the older sub-compact S&W models? If so, that is a really neat gun! I don't enjoy/have any compacts or subs since we can't carry in NJ, but that is one sweet pistol if it is the one I am thinking of!
