SmithAndy 2 Posted January 25, 2012 I heard Fresh Air's interview with an author who wrote about the Glock and its rise in popularity in America. It was certainly biased, but also interesting to see how Glock started out. I didn't read the article, but the podcast definitely reflects a little anti-gun stance. The first part of the interview is about Gabrielle Giffords, gangsta rap, and criminals using glocks. Then they get to police departments and why they like it. If you're up for listening, it's "interesting" http://www.npr.org/2012/01/24/145640473/how-the-glock-became-americas-weapon-of-choice?sc=fb&cc=fp

RecessedFilter 222 Posted January 25, 2012 I love NPR. Looking forward to listening to this even though I am not a huge fan of Glock's.
almiz111 26 Posted January 25, 2012 NPR?? National Peoples Radio, I think founded by Joe Stalin. However, it's always good to know what propoganda they are spewing.
DevsAdvocate 112 Posted January 25, 2012 Reading the new book now. I love it. Makes me glad I went for the Glock as my main pistol type. Never looking back from that decision.
Texas Shooter 35 Posted January 25, 2012 Here's the audio interview on a pro-gun site: Armed American Radio (January 15, 2012 Hour 2): http://armedamericanradio.org/2012/01/aar-broadcast-1-15-2012-hour-2/
Old School 611 Posted January 25, 2012 I'm almost done reading the book and the NPR review just about covers it all.
Texas Shooter 35 Posted February 1, 2012 Apparently, Glock hates the book, mostly due to political issues and internal fighting amongst the Glock family. They pressured the NSSF to revoke the author's press credentials at the SHOT show. You can hear Paul Barrett's audio interview on this week's Armed American Radio (29 Jan 2012 Hour 1). http://armedamericanradio.org/2012/01/aar-broadcast-1-29-2012-hour-1/
